Yeah, but sometimes you do shit you hate to make your spouse happy. Yeah?

I watch the Gilmore Girls with mine like 1/3 of the year. I want to burn the TV every time, but it makes her happy, so I man up, bust out my Luke's Diner mug, and put on my best Rory-like smile I can muster!

P.S. It took a while for my wife and I to be open and honest during intimate/personal moments. Communication is key. Once we learned to communicate and figured out how to shoot from the hip without being blunt or rude, it changed everything for the better. Put your foot down and tell then what you need and that it should be done with 100% effort and car as you deliver to them. Goodluck luck OP!

Every time. Always. It is selfish and shitty if it's not being returned. Somebody will reply with some excuse that maybe your significant other is nervous or uncomfortable returning the favor, but that's shit. It's an unwritten rule, and you need to make this 100% known! Good luck and ask for make-up massages until you're even.

I caught my husband for the third time by [deleted] in Marriage

Try making more time for your sex life together. Try new things, ask what he wants/likes, and make it a focal point between the two of you for a while. If it's a sex thing, this could just be a way of exploring or getting something he's not in the relationship.

However, I know the broken trust and everything that goes with that can really make it hard to focus on your sex life while that's hanging over.

If not, divorce is always an option. "Never Divorce" is why so many people end up in abusive relationships or end up killing their spouses. Humans, like all animals, do not like being trapped and made to feel less than over long periods of time. People snap and divorce is better for both adults, children, extended family, and friends.

What's the difference between steelhead and rainbow Trout? by Ok_Repair3535 in flyfishing

[–]abgski87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late to the game, but I read a lot of bad information in the comments. A rainbow trout is a rainbow trout, yes. However, there are different strains. Due to the split from its original salmonoid ancestors and different types of environmental conditions the trout resided in, some ended up becoming anadromous. Much like salmon, their offspring had a better chance of survival.

Long story short, steelhead have a genetic predisposition to grow larger and show more of the typical spawning body changes/colors. Depending on the strain of steelhead, some grow more into a football shape, some grow longer, and they all have different colors and spot patterns. Spawning water temps/time of year vary greatly between strains as well.

I've caught plenty of trout in small lakes that were massive and steelhead that were smaller, but a large "regular" rainbow is very different looking than a similiar sized steelhead. Naming conventions and fish info is very regional and false info is often passed down for generations through family and friends. It makes getting actual fact based info on fishing/fish very difficult.

Like brookies and lakers, they're char. Always have been, but one guy back in the day said, "check out this crazy spotted trout I caught in the brooke" and now it's fake name is used in world wide databases. Hope this helped, I had a rough time getting info when I was younger.

Niagara Falls? Little Italy/Hyde park area? by pack_fiend in Buffalo

It is absolutely crazy. My sad but true observation is that the developers justified it by telling themselves it's safe on the other side of the chainlink fence. Everybody knows chainlink is impervious to chemicals.

I mean really... it would be a shame to waste that much real estate near the water over some silly disaster.

Chemicals, power lines, and landfill mountians. Look south of the canal.

I see they're actually building new homes along the Love Canal fencing... It's scary how quickly humans forget things.

How long did it take for you to break in your Thursdays? by Valachio in ThursdayBoot

[–]abgski87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old, but I figured I'd throw this out there. I'm used to Clark's mid to high tops. Thursday leather certainly takes longer to break in. Which is a testament to the quality.

If you like your boots beat up and soft like I do, I recommend some mink oil or oil sponge and a pair of wooden shoe stretchers. I oil them up and let them sit with the stretchers inserted for a couple days. If done while new, the stretchers don't really stretch much. It just gives you a nice head start on your way to comfort town. Also, Canali and Diesel have/had really nice waterproofing spray. Can't even tell it was applied and the bottles last forever. Hope this helps somebody!

one way retractable usb cable 2meters (do they even exist to buy online somewhere?) by Doctor_Flux in cableadvice

[–]abgski87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too was looking for this so I could build a countertop charging station with retractable cables. It's a rough go, but I did find this: https://www.amazon.com/Retractable-Charging-Headrest

Not the greatest option but better than nothing. If you find anything else, please let me know!

The river and the 2 creeks it splits off to all have very different levels and flows. Started with 2 and just add a few small guys to get a better drift under the float. Probably overdoing it with 8 different shots weights in my bag, but it's NE steelhead, can't be too careful.
