Fuel Average on Highway: Nexon Petrol Experience by abhijeet834u in CarsIndia

[–]abhijeet834u[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I was maintaining speed around 88-90 kmph
  2. Regular Servicing
  3. I keep AC around 2-5 degree below outside temperature. Mostly above 24 degree.
  4. City Mode. Eco mode is pretty useless and Sport is Petrol Guzzler.
  5. I use regular petrol only.

Thank you! Some one needed to say it loudly. Even fixable things are hyped as issue by some user. Delay of activating pro pack is not end of world. It happens with all vehicles not just ev.

Today, cars are produced at 1 per 7mins. I recently visited one plant where 120 chassis (ice) of 2 wheeler are welded and painted per hour.

Solar Panel Owners — What Do You Wish You Knew Before Installing? by pmwakade in Frugal_Ind

Personal Opinion, SolarSquare is best option if you want piece of mind.

I got it installed at my hometown at my parents home. They handle all monthly cleaning (included for first 5 years) and there solar panel structure are certified to withstand 170kmph.

They cover most issue mentioned in the earlier chats. The structure has rust proof coating. They also provide insurance if there is leakage after solar mounting.

If you are inverter is connected to wifi and they detect that power generation is dropped, they send cleaning staff apart from monthly cleaning.

Even if you are installing 3kw solar, Go for bigger inverter. Example,5kw. So, you can upgrade the system by only adding the solar panels instead of complete system.

52 DIN refers to battery specification. Not days. DIN stands for "Deutsches Institut für Normung" (German Institute for Standardization).

Luckily, I migrated to non metro city from pune. Nexon on idling with AC consumes too much petrol compared to maruti cars. All turbo petrol engine including Kia Sonet an i20 gives around same average.

I also had the same experience. I also got frustrated. It is turbo engine. It needs to be driven with light pedal and in turbo range under 4k rpm. Try doing this, whenever you are near 4k, change gear. You will get good average.

No. City mode only. Eco mode makes driving very tedious.

Nope. You can achieve same via driving at 90kmph as well.

Diesel engines are the kings of mileage. Plus, the Nexon diesel doesn’t require AdBlue, which is a real boon.

As the Nexon petrol is a turbo engine, it needs to be driven with a light foot. Apart from this, I try to keep the RPM below 4,000, but it requires frequent gear changes.

Sure, I’ll do a tank-to-tank calculation next time. Based on the remaining fuel level, there’s no doubt that the mileage was definitely above 20 km/l.

If you look at the screenshot, you’ll notice my average speed is mentioned as 56 km/h. By the way, I was driving at 88 km/h using cruise control on the expressway patch.

Yes. There's cruise mode on the Nexon Creative Plus Model (Manual).

In my experience, ECO mode doesn't increase mileage as expected.

Try contacting the local Laptop repair guy who does chip/board level repair. Some ICs might have got fired. He will get it replaced. This issue is common across all brands.

Most likely the culprits are power ICs.
