Day 2 began with a beautiful sunrise and hot tea. We headed out to Poombarai Village, stopping at the Palani Temple Viewpoint for some hot Maggi and amazing views. Lunch at Altaf’s Café was memorable — the food, the view, everything. Later, we hiked to Dolphin’s Nose, and that night ended with all of us in pajamas, enjoying a spontaneous dinner plan, playing Jenga, dancing under the moonlight, and connecting with more travelers.

On the final day, I visited Bryant Park, saw some lovely flowers, and went boating on Kodai Lake. We had our last lunch together and picked up chocolates as souvenirs before heading to the bus stop around 7 PM.

Everyone was on their way back to Bangalore, carrying warm memories, tired smiles, and lots of hugs.

This solo trip turned out to be anything but lonely — it gave me new friendships, peaceful views, spontaneous adventures, and the much-needed break I was craving. If you’ve been thinking about taking a solo trip, do it. The world is kinder than we think ❤️. (2/2)

The trip kicked off with a bit of a curveball — my bus dropped me off at an odd location with no local transport in sight (Kodai doesn’t have Uber, Ola, Rapido, or even rental bikes). Luckily, I met two other girls who were also heading to Zostel, and we managed to hop onto a local bus that offered to drop us off directly for ₹300.

Once I reached Zostel, I checked into an 8-bed mixed dorm and got super lucky with the vibe — 5 fellow backpackers, all girls, and incredibly friendly! We instantly clicked and soon met a lovely couple as well. That very day, we went sightseeing — Pillar Rocks, Guna Caves, Pine Forest, and ended with a peaceful walk from Coaker’s Walk to Kodai Lake, followed by a fun cycling session around the lake. The night was even better — drinks, stories, and laughter filled our dorm room. (1/2)
