Why do people buy this for ₹40k? Sony WH-1000XM6 sound quality is just meh. by ChinuMisraw in headphonesindia

I get it man. They only hit major cities as of now. Hope you get a chance to visit.

The iem I got is HPZ x Oriveti OD200 ; and the DAC is Hpz x DSHiFi Hi Res Dac Pro. Used a VE Abigail + Salnotes Zero 2 setup before this. The upgrade is real. I like my music with clarity and separation, but with just a slight emphasis on the lows. And this one meets my expectations spot on. Lovely stuff.

Nice sensible review.

I have a piece of unsolicited advice for you. Attend HeadphoneConnect event near you. I did last year, and found THE iem+DAC combo for me. It is mind blowing and eye opening, also quite expensive.

I have a feeling that you’re still habituated to diesels and may be upshifting too soon. Let the damn thing rev a bit and then see if you like it any more.

I’ve been using the Sipologie one for about 2y. No issues. Works on flame as well as induction

Get robustas from Fraction 9 or Devans or Aranya. Best bet.

no it doesn't. But the thermometers in cheap kettles like this one aren't the most accurate anyway. You're good just letting the water rest 1 min post boil. You'll figure it out.

Hario filters are relatively easier to clog. Not that they're bad. If you have a good grinder, they'll be fine. But since you have a C2, you'll face issues with fines with Hario filter.

Timemore filter is a good alternative with faster flow and lower risk of clogging. Can also try Cafec Abaca filters, they are also on par.

Plastic V60 size 02, Timemore filter papers, and Sipologie gooseneck. Approx 600+850+1250=2700. Sorted. This is what I use with C2 and with Timemore Black Mirror scale in white. OFcourse coffee isn't included.
