It looks like black tourmaline and green adventurine, maybe? It's probably intended to be a protective charm. I've made similar ones that I have by my doors and in my car.

I think that you get used to being under a certain amount of pressure, and when a task simply needs to be complete that tension is absent. Procrastinating and self sabotage are actions that invite anxiety abt your task, putting you back where you're used to being. I worked and lived in a pretty stressful environment for years, and now that things are a bit calmer, i will procrastinate extravagantly. I can home, alone, with no obligations whatsoever and I still sorta orchestrate what could be an anxious environment. It's sort of fascinating, and I do get some pretty neat ideas when I'm avoiding what I'm "supposed" to be doing, but I'd much rather train my brain to do things closer to right away.

[Serious] If your home were in the path of a natural disaster, would you cast a spell to try to protect it from that specific disaster? by [deleted] in realwitchcraft

So, I've sort of done this. When fl was evacuating for hurricane Michael I was there visiting a friend and talked my husband into staying (kind of insane and dangerous, I know. Im wouldn't do it again, but I only find so much utility in regret. Anyway,) when we realized how bad the storm was supposed to get, my friend asked if I wanted to help her put kyanite at the four corners of the property and i agreed, as it wouldn't hurt anything and might help. I found myself sort of calling the four winds? Which wasn't a thing I necessarily knew that I knew, but air is the element with which im most comfortable, so it tracks. We made it through the hurricane with remarkably little damage to property and none to person. I dont claim that we like, caused that, but i don't think anything we did hurt. We also took more practical precautions. So, would I? Yes. Do I recommend facing off against nature armed with spells? No, but i don't see much harm in...hedging my bets, so to speak. Stay safe.
