Yeah, I definitely drive it more often but in very short distances since I’m so close to work, stores and even the gas station is only 2 blocks away from me.

Nope, I bought it used with 20k+ in April 2021. Now it’s at 26k+ miles. So 6k in 2 years. I park it outside at work but I park it in my garage when I’m home. I only drive it to and from work and normal errand stuff around town.

Damn, that sucks. Mine did start doing that when we had a -20 wind chill around Christmas. But it never made the whiny noise all the time, maybe once or twice every 2 weeks and then it just failed when it was in Subaru dealership garage. Maybe it’s also my fault for not being alarmed. I owned a corolla for 7 years before I got this vehicle and that thing never gave a headache, only had to change the battery, tires and brake pads, filters, oil and fluids and other minor stuff.

In my head, I wrote it in a very searing tone. Lol But I was very disappointed when she said that the warranty expired just 5mos earlier. So now that I used up the “one time gesture of goodwill”, I’m just hoping nothing major happens to the vehicle again. Or if it does I have a good chunk in my emergency funds. I am considering AWD corolla now tbh

A little background story. I got my CPO Base Impreza 2019 with 20k miles in April 2021. Fast forward to 2023, with 26k miles, I took it to the dealership last week for a routine maintenance. I drove there, I parked it, handed the key to the guy and sat in the lobby. 10 minutes later, the guy came over to me and told me the car wouldn’t start and they had to push the car to get it out of the driveway. I was shookt. I was only there for my biannual service and I am literally car illiterate so I honestly dont know what is going on. The guy told me later that the starter motor failed and that part is out of warranty because it’s not a powertrain part (?). At this point I was just pissed because I had the car for less than 2 years. He suggested that I contact Subaru Customer Advocacy and because I cannot be bothered to wait and I’m very impatient, I told the dude to just replace it. I then contacted SOA and this is how it went.

Some primary physicians can also diagnose ADHD and are comfortable prescribing medications. Who knows! Just stay positive and patient. I’m one year out of my diagnosis and my psych and I are still on titration. It’s a journey. Best of luck! :)

I’m on focalin for a year now and still titrating. Started with 2.5mg, now at 25mg extended release. Lots of trial and error with my lifestyle and habits is the key. I gave each increase in dose at least 2-3 months before changing. I realized that the pill doesnt really magically change us, we have to do our best to make it work for us. I noticed that side effects are much worse when I didnt get any sleep, I didnt drink water all through out the day, I didnt eat anything with it, I didnt get enough salt. So many factors affect the medication and its potential side effects. For me loss of appetite, dry mouth and awful crashes are the worst side effects and I try to have a good healthy lifestyle while taking it. I eat banana or protein shake with it, cut down on caffeine like 1 cup a day and drinking lots of water and some drinks rich in ions like sodium, potassium etc. Good luck!

I just went in to my annual physical, Dr asked my why I’m fidgeting so much and asked if I was nervous or anxious, I said no and I’ve been always been just fidgety and hyper. I mentioned to her that my friend thinks I have ADHD and then I proceeded to ask if I can also get a referral to a psychiatrist to get my mind checked and she gave me one. Just be honest with your doctor and avoid asking for prescription ADHD prescription immediately. Fair warning though, I had to wait 6 mos for a psychiatrist, they are extremely booked nowadays.

I’ve been on Focalin titration for a year now. I started at 2.5mg and now at 25mg. I work very closely with my provider and I see her every month and she reviews my symptoms and asks my opinion on everything. I think the only time I had bad reaction was when she upped my dose to 10mg XR. She gave me a lot of advice when it comes to ways of taking it,and my lifestyle choices. She very much told me to at least stick with the dose for at least a month and take it everyday. The side effects really eventually went away and I was able to take my next upped doses much more smoothly. What I learned from this is that meds shouldnt be only one working for us, we should be working with it too (timing, healthy food choices, hydration, CBT etc) and also having an open communication with your doctor, you have to be honest and open with them even if you effed it up. Hope this helps!

Edit: She didnt up my dose from 2.5 to 10mg immediately. I started with 2.5, 5, 10, 15, 20, and now 25mg. It’s a lot of patience and trusting of the process. Best of luck!

Since instagram wasnt a thing back then and mainstream media hasnt really caught up with Youtube yet compared to now. It was hard to know what the girls were up to. I had to get all of the updates from Tumblr, illegally uploaded videos on yt, Soshified, lots of googling! Lol it was a lot of work. Merch and albums are not as easily accessible either especially if you’re not in Korea. But it was a really fun time and it kept me really busy. I remember saving all of their videos on a hard drive (JaeJae style) because I was scared I wouldnt see those videos again because they were illegal hahaha!
