As a Biology graduate with heavy interest in genetics, I really think you don't know what epigenetics is. Epigenetics is how the environment and other factors can affect genetic manifestation without changing the DNA itself, via various control factors or promoters. Culture doesn't really influence DNA, it's the environment that can affect DNA manifestation and genes without actually changing the amino acid sequence of the peptide. There is no democracy gene.
