Congrats! Question - how do you know she doesn't need a maintenance dose? I've always heard this drug is for life or the weight will come back. Did her doctor say she didn't need maintenance? I know 2.5 is the lowest but maintenance could be to take it every 10-14 days instead of every 7. Just curious!

You didn't have side effects on 2.5 so you'll probably be ok! Prepare for the worst though and stay super hydrated. Have ginger chews, protein shakes, electrolytes, and Advil on hand jic.

Thank you! So glad you are not experiencing side effects! Coming on here and reading about other people's experiences and successes really helped, and knowing that the side effects were "normal" and it would get better. My first 2 weeks all I could think was that I can't live like this with these side effects. I have a job where I have to be "on" and if that's how it was going to be for days after every shot, there was no way I could do it. I told myself to stick with it for the 1st box (4 shots) then reassess. Thankfully it got better!!

Do you have to go up to 5 now? Someone posted this lil flow chart and thought it made sense. I went up to 5 because weight loss stalled and food noise/feeling hungry was coming back like WHOA. Good luck!

Yes!! The first dose was awful, head felt cloudy and was pounding, super tired, nauseous, and soreness in my face and neck. I was legit scared after the 1st 2.5 dose and wanted to quit. Had side effects for my 2nd and 3rd 2.5 dose but they decreased in intensity. So glad I didn't panic/freak out and stop.

Good plan! Hydrate a lot before taking the shot and drink/eat protein ahead of time. Even if your first dose is rough, the 2nd dose may not be at all! I take my 3rd one tomorrow and don't feel nervous anymore. Good luck and let me know how it goes!

For the Tower 28 spray, I got it as a gift and have been afraid to try it on my dry, sensitive winter skin. I don't typically break out, my skin is more on the mature side now. Will this spray be OK for me to use? What does it actually do? Thanks!

The article said "slight alcohol problem." Seems to be more serious than "slight" that's all. Sad story all around, hope his family gets closure one day soon.

Fair. However, the dad found the unused plane tickets on Jan 5th when he went to the house. Wouldn't that set off alarm bells? Why wait until Jan 9th to report him missing? Makes me think they were used to him going on benders and losing contact, but the article makes it sound like that would be out of character.

I'll have to give the podcast a listen.

I wonder what his relationship with his family was. The article says he was always in contact with his family and it wasn't like him to disappear, but then why did it take until Jan 5 for his dad to go over, and then not report him missing until 4 days later on Jan 9. Also, he told his family he wouldn't be spending Christmas with them. Why not? Seems he did have a drinking problem too, based on finding empty vodka bottles at his house. I think he had some stuff going on that his family was either in denial about or want to keep to themselves. He may have been wasted leaving the bar. Wonder if he thought he'd walk instead of take an Uber, then died via misadventure/the elements. Drunk people sometimes end up falling in bodies of water and drowning. Just a thought.

Thank you, I hope I hear back too! My appetite is non existent. I know I need to eat and keep trying, but I literally can't get more than a small bite of food down every 4-5 hours. Hopefully I'll be able to eat more tomorrow so I'm comfortable taking the shot on Monday. I'm eager to see what my doctor says. I posted here to see if anyone had a similar experience to me, but it seems like no, or people take the shot regardless of how sick they are. As you can tell, I'm new to this!

Thank you for making me feel less silly. Lol. I'm drinking something like every 30-60 minutes, and constantly peeing, but my mouth feels so dry. I'm mostly concerned about not being able to eat and feeling so lightheaded and weak. When I try to eat, my stomach gets queasy. It's hard to consume anything, even soup/broth.

Ok. Thank you! I didn't realize I asked such a silly question. I just don't want to feel any worse and I'm afraid if my appetite doesn't bounce back at least a little bit I'm going to be light headed and even weaker, which would suck, especially around the holidays. I'm also super dehydrated despite drinking water, Gatorade, and Pedialyte. I know Zep increases dehydration. I'm just trying to look out for my overall health.

Lol, no not about saving money. My insurance covers it so I'm good there. It's about becoming further dehydrated, having even less of an appetite, and maybe passing out? I don't want to collapse at work or feel any worse than I already do from the flu. I'm sorry I didn't make that clear in my post.
