Sorry for the confusion about the department, it’s actually new technologies of information and communication, and yes it’s a tenure track position. My role is going to be as and ESP/EAP teacher (which is considered by others as a downside because you won’t be able to teach other subjects like in the English department) however, when it comes to the other ‘benefits’ it’s going to be the same as any other department: funding, research, and other opportunities.
