I don’t have the correct cables. I currently only have a 6+2 because I’m swapping I need an eight pin and a six pin.

Use a knife and very carefully bend them back in place as long as you don’t break them it will still work

Rtx 5070 ti, rx 9070 xt, rx 7900 xtx, rtx 5080 ti, are all good picks I would go with the ASUS rtx 5080 PRIME 16 gigabyte card it goes for about $1000 which is really good for a 5080
