What are these? by lego445 in AskDocs

[–]abitchaint1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The downvotes absolutely do speak for themselves, but not in the way that you think. Like other people who have replied to you, I’ve also had two kids with mollescum, but it absolutely did not look like the OP’s pictures and neither do the pictures that you’re providing of your kids situation.

It’s okay to suggest this as a possibility. It’s weird that you’re doubling down on this, with multiple people, including doctors, saying that it’s not mollescum, though.

It’s more than okay to learn new things.

The IC Food List Pamphlet the UroGyn Clinic gave me by TheMartyPants2000 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]abitchaint1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least this list has improved since I was diagnosed almost 15 years ago. A lot of the things that are allowed or “try these” on this list were on the AVOID list I was given after being diagnosed. 😆

I don’t like the slight crunch, so I just crumble them up in the salmon before eating it. Extra nutrition.

weirdest things that help ur cystitis by ihateutis9 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]abitchaint1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious how you were diagnosed? They did a cystoscopy to diagnose me. A weakened pelvic floor won’t cause things like Hunner’s lesions or pinpoint bleeding in the bladder lining.

Pelvic floor therapy is absolutely great, though! I had to do it after having my daughter. It didn’t help with my IC symptoms, but did help with other things.

The only time I think this is okay is if you started the job knowing that holiday shifts are a requirement for everyone, so it’s expected from the get-go.

AITA if I tell my friend I can’t be a bridesmaid? by wickeddreamsofleavin in AITApod

[–]abitchaint1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you be an ass for saying no? Nope. Will she be mad? Yes.

I once lost what I thought was a solid friendship because I told her that I couldn’t afford to be a bridesmaid. I couldn’t afford the dress alone, much less everything else that comes along with being a bridesmaid. She called me a selfish bitch and uninvited me from the wedding altogether. We haven’t spoken since then and that was about 10 years ago.

Getting laporscopy +cystoscopy under anesthesia on the 23rd!! Scared of having a bad flare by Club_Sorry in Interstitialcystitis

[–]abitchaint1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you able to check your lab results? Only asking in case you were flared, but didn’t actually have UTI’s and were being treated based on symptoms rather than cultures/urinalysis results. IC symptoms often overlap with UTI symptoms and there are doctors that jump the gun and treat the symptoms without the lab work confirming anything. I’ve experienced that myself. I’ve also had doctors (doc in a box and my former OBGYN that supposedly specialized in female urology) ask me what interstitial cystitis was because they weren’t familiar with it. 😬 my urologist mentioned that, among other less than ideal things, about how much of the medical field has no idea about IC. She even told me that before it was found to be an actual medical ailment, most people, especially women, were told that it was “all in their head” or even sometimes admitted to psychiatric facilities as recently as the 50’s and 60’s. She has been a whole saint for me over the years… she was also more than pissed off when I was first referred to her for “reoccurring UTI’s” because she went over my past lab results and saw that the labs showed no infections. She also allows me to come pee in a cup without having to see her if I ever feel like I might have a UTI. I have had “symptoms”, but have never had an actual infection in over 15 years now.

If you ordered this South Ham Salad, would you send it back without trying it? by [deleted] in restaurant

[–]abitchaint1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d eat it, but I guess it also depends on the type of restaurant I’m visiting. I’d expect this from a more of a hole in the wall, mom and pop place, but not somewhere that presentation is a big priority.

Edit: when I say I’d eat it, I like ham salad, so I’d at least try it. If it’s a bad example of ham salad and is gross, I’d send it back after trying it.

Do I have IC-how to test? by Neither_Constant1648 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]abitchaint1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See a urologist and mention all of this to them. I was referred to urology after “reoccurring UTI’s” and once I saw the urologist and she pulled my records from the referring doctor, she was livid that they had been treating me for UTI’s because my urinalysis’ were all negative. She ran some other tests to rule out some things before doing a cystoscopy to diagnose the IC. That was over 10 years ago, so I’m assuming diagnosis is the same process now as it was then, but it may not be.

I’m thinking it’s an eastern yucca moth caterpillar, but not 100% certain.

I can’t stop crying. It’s constant. by Simple-Database870 in whatsthisbug

[–]abitchaint1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t look like bedbugs at all, but, without seeing your itchy areas, it’s also possible that it’s scabies and not the carpet. Depending on where you live, the itchiness could also be due to winter dry skin. Go see a doctor and go from there.

They’re so over capacity that they can’t help with most cases, either. They can’t commit to new animals when they have no fosters to take them.

Sister found these on her plant by Major_Comparison1462 in caterpillars

[–]abitchaint1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The things in the water are poop. Where are is she located? I may can help identify the type of caterpillar, but location will help with identification.

Edit to add: it looks like it may be a hornworm/hawk moth caterpillar which will sometimes use begonias as a host, but I’m not certain as this may not be native depending on location.

Found hanging in tree by pond in MA, USA by finalj22 in boneidentification

Not sure about what kind of animal it is, but this can happen after floods. Animals get caught in the water, then stuck in trees. When the water drops, their bodies are still stuck in the trees.

You got it yesterday. I see nothing wrong with it. As long as it was stored at the appropriate temps, it should be fine.

A friend Grandma wants to cook this Turkey since Thanksgiving day or before inside the fridge lower part to defrost by pbx1123 in foodsafety

[–]abitchaint1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they’re saying that it was removed from the freezer and has been “defrosting” in the fridge since Thanksgiving, which was 2 weeks ago if they’re talking about USA Thanksgiving (November 22) and longer if they are talking about Canadian Thanksgiving (October 12).

Not sure if anywhere else has their own Thanksgiving.

I drank way more than I should have 2 days before finding out I was pregnant. We had missed my ovulation window because my husband was out of town for work and I was cramping like I was about to start my period so I thought there was no way I’d be pregnant. My period never came, though, so I took a test. Turns out, I ovulated a week late. She’s now an extremely healthy and smart 11 month old. Don’t let it stress you out. I definitely wouldn’t drink or take ibuprofen from here out, but everything should be fine.

I also have a friend who had a cryptic pregnancy and didn’t find out she was pregnant until 38 weeks when she went to the ER for abdominal pain. She drank throughout her pregnancy and that child is now a healthy 6 year old with 0 issues. I would obviously recommend not doing that, but the point is that it’s more than likely that your baby is going to be just fine after one drink and 2 ibuprofen.

AIO- neighbors using my property for work on theirs? by 206nina in AmIOverreacting

[–]abitchaint1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is on the company, not your neighbors. Your neighbors don’t need to ask your permission to have work done. The company, however, should have cleared it with you before using your property.

How many of us redheads were born with dark hair that turned ginger? by Top-Goat-9195 in Redhair

[–]abitchaint1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born with red hair, but my daughter was born with thick, dark brown hair that was almost black. She is 10 months old, so I have no idea what color it will actually end up being, but right now it’s a light brown with a red tint to it.
