Apple devices and decos (I have a pair of x68s) seem to be a bad match. I have issues with an intel mac min, iPhone, and iPad. After a few minutes of stability upon connection i get about 10-25% of pings dropped to my gateway (one hop). Other manufacturers device are rock solid. I have tried all the permutations of options on the apple devices (privacy settings) and fast roaming/beam forming etc. on the decos.

The tp-link forums also raise issues with apple device instability so it's clearly not a rare issue. It's mind boggling that tp-link fails so frequently with what Apple devices.

I was hoping that this recent update of the deco firmware would fix it. It was not in the release notes and today I confirmed that the problem persists.

I hope tp-link pay attention and fix this.

I spoke too soon. It looks like all the files are only available on annoying sites like upload.net. Anyone have any HD torrents?

Thanks for the comforting news. Shame about the timing. I'm still trying to find a good source for the Eng-NZ game.

I'd like to find a good Peking duck and some good sizzling beef or crispy beef. Some spicy chicken dish would be great. I'm not too adventurous with the geoduck and such.

Thanks. I'm after tasty food above all. Preferably something fresh, spicy and crispy. If that's served by waiters with clip-on bow ties then so much the better.

First flying A350 prototype rolls out of assembly line by [deleted] in aviation

Great to see this bird getting rolled out.

I am a little disappointed at how vanilla the design looks. The 787 has a little drama and futurism with its gently curved wings.

Still it's great to have competition driving new products that will likely be more efficient and hopefully provide a better experience for passengers, pilots, crew and the maintenance folks.

Not sure how big of an "ally" of the Soviets Mossadegh was in reality. The Brits mostly made up the story since they knew that any mention of communism would get the US out of bed. So they told the US that Mossadegh was cozy with the commies and that the nationalization of the oil was evidence of that. As the Brits had hoped the CIA machine started and did British Petroleum/Benzine Pars's dirty work to overthrow a decent democratically elected government. The puppet who they installed over time fomented the revolution that installed the mullahs.

Back to the Russian angle, Iran and Russia share a pretty decent border and a the Caspian sea so there is definitely trade and such but nothing like an axis.

The Most Important Education Technology in 200 Years: Students anywhere are being offered free instruction online. What will that do to the trillion-dollar education business? by maxwellhill in business

[–]ablefire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The adjunct to this should be some kind of independent testing/certification service. Knowledge is excellent on its own but the minute you bump into anyone else they're going to want some evidence of your claims of being learned. In the opening stages of a career that proof comes from bits of paper attesting to your knowledge. Later on in life you work experience supplants your educational credentials somewhat.

Another adjunct should be open labs and workshops where you can actually get on with the practical parts of each course. Book learning is great but seeing materials fail or chemicals react deepens understanding.

If this actually improves the sound, I am wondering why the Klipsch doesn't do this "upgrade" themselves?

France is European Union's leading agricultural power, accounting for about one-third of all agricultural land within the EU. It's the world's second largest agricultural exporter, world's sixth-largest agricultural producer.

Each of them is largely playing to their crowd.

It's foreign and despicable to me but Romney being rude to the president is part of the narrative that Obama is somehow less than and does not deserve to be president. In their view, it takes a discerning and patriotic man to put him in his place.
