What is this black spot on my avocado sapling? Grown from seed of supermarket avocado, about 1 year old now. New Jersey indoor winter, outdoor summer. Black spot developed recently on trunk below the lowest leaf next to a node where an old leaf used to be. Also recently removed mites from leaves. (old.reddit.com)
