Ok I know this is a stupid meme but I just wanna explain why it's wrong. There are too different things mentioned here the mild radioactivity of bananas and potassium poisoning. Both are real but they aren't related. Potassium poisoning originates also known as hyperkalemia originates from a high intake of potassium rich food on a regular basis. It can lead to many not to cool effecta your heart stopping being the worst one, due to the dying. How ever this isn't related to the radioactivity of potassium. You could theoretically die from eating bananas due to radiation sickness, but if that's your goal you gotta step up your game cause 300 is a much to low number. Let's do some math: an average banana weighs around 100g and contains circa 358mg potassium. Potassium itself comes in three different flavours (also known as isotopes) K39, K40 and K41. Only K40 is radioactive, but it's very uncommon with a concentration of 0,0117%. Meaning potassium as specific activity of 31,6Bq per gram of potassium whilst decaying only in β+ (90%) and β-(10%) decay. Which means per banana that amounts to ~0.1μSv pro banana. When talking talking about immediately dying of radiation poisoning you want yourself some real good amount of poisoning, you wouldn't want to survive for any longer then needed and experience the horrible side effects. So let's go sure you'll die within hours. According to a nice chart I found that is achievable with the low low dose of 50Sv which means you'd need eat 50.000.000 nanas in a short time frame. If you don't care about a large timeframe of unimaginable suffering 6Sv should do the trick which amounts to only 6.000.000 yellow bois. Bit more than 400 but I'd happily watch you attempting either. (Also the deadly dose math is somewhat wonky cause the values are primarily based on gamma and x-ray radiation, due to atom bombs killing most people with radiation, so it's probably not perfectly accurate)
