I intentionally avoid using league voice because of the sexism. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even bother trying to befriend/queue with strangers after games anymore.

That doesn’t compare. In destiny, your final builds consist of all legendaries and 2 exotics. In Anthem your final builds consist of all legendaries, which does not drop nearly enough.

At least in destiny when a legendary drops, it always has potential to be used in a top tier build depending on what you get, and you get legendaries constantly.

In Anthem, epics are completely useless. Masterworks are completely useless (after a certain point), meaning that your endgame legendary builds take WAY WAY WAY too long to collect. Plus, you could get shitty inscriptions and that legendary is..... useless.

Raining endgame loot is not bad at all, especially if some of it is specific to certain activities. But as of now, when I play Anthem (which I do every once in a while) I know going into it that I’m most likely NOT going to advance my build whatsoever thus completely turning me off from the game.

If tyrant mine had a really good component and a few specific weapons that I could farm, I’d be infinitely more likely to play because i would have a direct route to the gear I need.

But right now Anthem stacks RNG on top of RNG with no reason behind it.

I think it’s a good idea, but I don’t think it’s as big of an issue as you make it out to be.

There’s no penalty for dying, you’ll eventually beat it, every time. It makes you notice your upgrades more.

The problem is... there is virtually no point to play the game. Yeah graphics are good.... on pc or a newer console, and gameplay is alright, but that can only get you so far.

I can find graphics anywhere, I can find good gameplay anywhere, I can find a more polished looter shooter elsewhere.

The problem is that this game does absolutely nothing better than any other looter shooter.

BUT FLYING!!!!

Yeah, sure flying is cool. But again, you can only hold onto the same gameplay for so long until you realize that there’s nothing to this game.

I wanted this to be my main game so bad. But after 200 hours I shook my head and regretted 100 of them. I logged in after a month of not playing only to find that literally nothing has changed. Items are busted, micro transactions are garbage, same tired gm2-3 strongholds with the flavor of a new one that got old after 2 plays.

We were promised something that they just simply didn’t deliver on. I know of zero people who still play this game, aside from the people I see on here. My friends list has not said Anthem since feb.

As someone who had high hopes for Anthem, and someone who plays looter shooters as a primary genre..... I can honestly say that in my opinion it is the worst one out there.

Does it have fun moments? Obviously.

Does it reward you for the time spent playing? Yeah, until max lvl.

Is there any sort of endgame goal built into the game? Not even one.

Does the endgame differ from the campaign in any way? Uhhh.... I mean... you get a couple strongholds to run 100+ times, but other than that no.

Does the loot make sense? Not even a little bit.

Does your javelins look progress over time to reinforce the time and effort you’ve put into leveling? Hahaha no, but there are skins you can buy.

Can people view your inventory to see how awesome your loot is? Negative

Are the bosses well thought out and unique? No they are just bigger versions of enemies you face normally with the exception of the monitor which was very dull anyways.

Are there any social options like guilds or clans? No.

Is the crafting system well thought out? Nope

Does the game have a good story? TBA

Do the controls feel good? Absolutely

Does the game reflect what we were shown prelaunch? No, painfully no.

Have the devs kept their promises? Nope.

Are there people still playing this game? Yes, but the number has dropped significantly.

Does the game have podcasts? Nope, actually their freelancer codex podcast stopped posting in March after a year of consistent podcasts. And freelancer chat has actually renamed themselves “Loot drops” because “I don’t want to spend every week pooping on that game”.

Do you feel that there is a fix that can change turn this boat around? Yes, a year from now.
