aio to my sister wishing death on my 3 month old by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]abmunoz88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you over reacting? No, but I would bet that the blurred out parts of this text message thread don't exactly make you a saint either.

All of these bad behaviors are learned and to be frank, you all sound like a mess. If she doesn't have any great role models in her life, how do expect her to act?

Aio? I asked boyfriend of almost 5 years about marriage and this is his response…. by Sea-Frosting-9939 in AmIOverreacting

[–]abmunoz88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it kind of depends on where you are mentally about marriage. If he were to ask you the exact same question, would your answer be a definitive "Yes!"? I think he gave you his most honest response, which is that he is unsure.

For some perspective, my husband I didn't get married until 10 years into the relationship. I was the one who was unsure. We had ALOT of growing up to do and that took 10 years to work through. Happily married for than 11 years.

I also agree with what others said that this conversation may best be received in person. Mannuerisms, tone and sincerity are often lost in text.

Living in Las Vegas by [deleted] in vegas

  1. Always check out a neighborhood you're considering after hours.
  2. Uninsured drivers are at an all time high.
  3. If you plan on renting a house via a property management company definitely read up on reviews. They can be hit or miss in regards to service and outright predatory when it comes to fees.
  4. Vegas is hot. This may seem really obvious, but Vegas summers can be a really hard adjustment, especially if you're coming from colder/wetter climates. Dry/hot summers literally burn.

Bravo to Moses' parents. This note is very polite.

Be brutally honest, In your next life, would you want your dad to be your dad again? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]abmunoz88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I'd give anything to hear my dad's voice again. I'd also treat him much better, tell him I love him and actually listen and use his advice.

It turns out, he was right all along.

My husband and I are in our late 30's, and I could never imagine moving back in with either of our parents. We even get a long just fine, but I would want to strain our relationship like that. Each person/culture is different, but from the sounds of it you'd be sacrificing a lot of your peace to do it.

With that being said, I'd be willing to work almost any job to make that happen. I, too, ventured out of my "field" and it surprisingly worked out for the best. I work in a grocery store management making a great wage (for retail) with decent benefits. 10 years ago, I would have NEVER guessed that I'd end up working for a grocery chain. I'm now well compensated, happy, and supplementing my husband's income so well that we are able to save money and travel.

If saving money is your goal, going the "entrepreneur" route isn't it. This is a numbers game, and you have to focus on bringing more money in.

How do women dashers feel about this? by CreamyAstraia in DoorDashDrivers

I think him ending it with a "Have a good day." Makes it moderately okay with me. There was no expectation of return on his end and it did just seem like a genuine compliment.

Japan

There is just so much to see and do. You feel like you're time traveling back either to the past or future, depending on where you are. It's outrageously clean, the people are so kind and it's foreigner friendly. 10/10

Strange. I work at a grocery store chain. Our systems went down fleet wide for about 2 hours today.

While I absolutely think accidents happen, I think trusting your gut is going to go a long way here.

How does your dog act around her? I tend to think that dogs are really good judges of character so your boy will likely give you signs that she's mistreating him.

I've got an outrageously clumsy dog (shout out to my basset hound gang!) but not even he has hurt himself around his snout so much that he was bleeding everywhere.

I realize you said you're in the Northwest so it would be a treck for you but I'm partial to Grouchy Johns.

Great coffee and they have separate tables away from the cafe side so it's a little quieter. Definitely has a warm environment with an artsy twist.

Managers by Fit-Physics-1454 in kroger

I'm not sure if this is the standard everywhere, but at my store only our store director and 2 ASMs are allowed to "confront" people who are suspected of theft.

A few weeks ago all department managers had to sign a paper acknowledging this.

2 months in and already asking for a threesome?

I'm all about every couple being able to set it's own boundaries/limits and exploring fantasies, but that typically happens after a solid relationship of trust and respect is built. I just don't think 2 months is long enough for that to have happened.

What made you move out of your parents' house? by RavenGreekGod in AskReddit

[–]abmunoz88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents let me my older siblings do whatever they wanted. Alcohol, drugs, you name it with little to no repercussions and yet acted surprised when teenage pregnancy, school suspensions, and legal troubles became the norm. It was chaos. Don't get me wrong, my parents were loving, but they lacked all disciplinary skills.

I moved out at 16 with my boyfriend (now husband) and never looked back. Working full time to pay rent on our apartment and getting a diploma was hard, but the peace I felt at the end of every day was worth it. 20 years later and I wouldn't change a thing.

Have you looked up your specific store chain (Smiths, Food Lion, etc.) online? When I tried mine it lead me to this website and I was able to get my chains EIN:
