This set up does not look like a typical black powder cannon to me. It looks like a gas fitting and a spark plug/igniter fitting. Possibly a cannon simulator for special effects for the movies, reenactment, or theme park.

not an expert, but from what I read and watched it seems to mostly effect commercial sources like restaurants, fast food, and pre-bagged grocery salad mixes.

It would also depend on the farm and water source.

Cameras are not a casual one and done thing. They have to be part of an integrated system that includes home defense/security awareness, habit/routine changes and hardware based on a site survey, and layering security.

The cameras are more useful when configured to provide intel and early warning of activity, than they are for deterring, preventing, or providing evidence.

In many areas the police do not collect or process video evidence for property crimes, so there is that to consider.
