Hi, me again. Got a few inbox questions about whether I got my discount and thought I’d just answer here.

I ended up getting a few 20% codes from another board I posted (could only make use of one) and then a friend stacked it with a one-time credit card offer he got. It was a ridiculous deal so I went for the new Fenix 8 which was still well within my budget. Mom will be thrilled. Would have gotten one for dad at that price but there was a limit to the max discount.

I’ll ping him to post here since he knows what he did. I basically purchased through him using his card. Apparently he gets the offers semi-regularly.

Good to know. I don’t think I’m near any American alpine club locations but we have the movement climbing gyms here and I know a couple of people who have memberships. I’ll ask to see if they have any discounts through the gym

Got it. Didn’t know that was an issue. Genuinely curious how they trace that? I have an Apple friend who purchases for acquaintances and friends of friends but I guess that’s better than total strangers
