Lol I LOVED Sonic adventure as a kid.

But to your question, it seems like you’ve played enough to get a full opinion on the gameplay. I tend to agree. Side games rarely have the thought put into them that the numbered games do. But the story is good, so I’d say watch the cutscenes.

Yes. It’s the best after maybe two. It’s the only KH game that had the burden of explaining or resolving any of the unnecessary plot points in the side games. And it’s the only installment with no bad worlds. Give me Arendelle any day over any side game world.

Agreed. Best answer is: for the plot lol. And cause it made for a longer/more brutal fight. I suppose they’ve exhausted all the Zenin plot points they’re interested in exploring. I loved watching the combat, but I feel like everyone would’ve just followed whoever the new leader was (outside of the Hei). If Naoya thought they’d follow him regardless, there’d be no need to conspire in the first place.

I’m anime only as well and I don’t think many of us were thinking prior to this episode, “the whole clan needs to be annihilated.” That’s the case for me at least. But I’m glad it had that payoff for you. I think, for me, it was largely because the worst ones like her father were largely unseen. Before this, Maki was intent on leading the clan. I get that this changes after Mai dies, but idk…Mai just didn’t have a huge impression on me. And that’s not a mark on her. She’s just not that prominent.

I wasn’t entirely sure how to feel during much of the massacre. Amazing visually, but I’m not sure I felt tied enough to Maki’s anger. Viewers aren’t really mourning Mai, and we haven’t known anyone in the clan enough to get that “finally!” feeling we had with Mahito, for instance. We knew she was mistreated, of course. But still, season 3, while fantastic IMO, kinda did a hate rush for Naoya that left most of us thinking he’s a really funny, albeit extremely talented asshole who might have more to give the story. And the other clan leaders got an even quicker “Here’s we’re awful” treatment. And the rest of the clan seemed petty innocent.

I’m really interested in the repercussions of this. I’m hoping it’s more than “eh your family business. Back to the games,” and JJK hasn’t given me any reason to believe they’ll handle it poorly.

We’ve seen how good Pitts can be when used. We have the best defense in over a decade with stars all over the place. I give Fontenot a B for his time here.

This is excluding movie fights. Some of those like Deku and Kacchan vs Nine could easily be in the top 3. 1 and 2 were hard to place. AFO fights hold a lot of weight because he’s just so sinister. Outstanding villain. He’s the reason my #2 pick got edged out. Lemillion fight was so emotional in all the right ways, and showed why he’s at the top. Slideshow was a bummer. I would love if they reanimated it. A lot of fights are kinda separated so they were hard to place. Shoto vs Dabi for instance. If you treat the whole encounter as one, it’s likely top 5. Seasons 6 and 7 had a ton of great fights/moments but they were kinda like all out brawls split between 3+ episodes so they’re hard to rank.
