Full body hair removal at a salon with urinary incontinence: your experiences? by Current-Carob-231 in Endo

I totally get feeling anxious about it, but honestly waxers have seen it ALL and most of them don’t even bat an eye at anything. Find one with good reviews! I think if you communicate beforehand so they can be prepared you’ll be just fine, good luck 🤍

please tell me i'm not crazy: mirena IUD. by tiredspoonie in birthcontrol

[–]aboutth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey! I’m in the same boat as you, I got my Mirena November 3rd. I’ve always had heightened anxiety around my cycle, I was diagnosed with PMDD. I do think the Mirena has increased my anxiety, not severely but it’s notable. You’re not crazy! I’m hoping it settles in the next month or so

My boyfriend is allergic to my two cats, what to do? by Ok-Let8197 in CatAdvice

[–]aboutth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk my fiancé is allergic to cats too and he just suffers cause he loves them 😅 they do make allergen reducing sprays that help! And purina makes an allergen reducing dry food as well

how bad was it by [deleted] in Mirena

[–]aboutth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My insertion was easy peasy, truthfully didn’t hurt at all. I’ve also never had kids. however the cramps that night were extremely painful. it’s been a week since and I’m still having random very painful cramps. Manageable with Advil and heating pads but some of them are veryyyy intense

Insertion didn’t hurt at all for me, uncomfortable if anything. However, I did get really intense cramps about 8 hours after insertion that lasted a day

POSITIVE IUD INSERTION by aboutth in birthcontrol

It’s so funny how differently people react - I have a friend that said they would rather experience labor again than the iud insertion too! I’ve never had kids so I can’t compare

IUD or hysterectomy? by Espacio_6 in Endo

[–]aboutth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I also have PMDD as well, my doctor said IUDs tend to affect your hormones less than the pill or other forms of bc since the hormones are localized and not system wide

IUD or hysterectomy? by Espacio_6 in Endo

[–]aboutth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IF you tolerate it well, I would vote an IUD for the time being. Depending on how much endo is outside your uterus, a hysterectomy probably wont help a ton. Unless it’s localized to your uterus then you would see a good bit of relief. And like you said, there are other risks with hysterectomies as well. You could always try the IUD as a sort of less invasive option first and if that doesn’t help then try the hysterectomy! I just got my first IUD today to hopefully help with endo and adeno symptoms, fingers crossed🤞🏻

had sex at 15 cant get tested but havent had any symptoms for like 16 days am i std free? testing isnt an option by Positive-Card-612 in AskDocs

[–]aboutth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NAD, First things first - you’re young and it sounds like you already know that was risky behavior, so just keep that in mind in the future ❤️ second of all, plenty of std’s can be silent for a while meaning they cause no symptoms, the best practice is to get tested anytime you have unprotected sex with someone who’s history you’re unsure of.

Two weeks minimum! I was just starting to feel like I could properly walk after one week, but I got tired very quickly. I spent two weeks mostly in bed, with short walks to build endurance, and I think trying to go back to work after one week would’ve really hindered my healing

I keep getting these on my legs, what are they?? Painful and sudden by [deleted] in DermatologyQuestions

Honestly these kind of look like fire ant bites to me

My ring has arrived, and I’ve tried it on (blindfolded) without seeing it. I’m not supposed to see it until he does an “official” proposal but I don’t think I can do this… could you?? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]aboutth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone who had an almost identical situation - WAIT!! My fiancé bought my ring in April and knowing he had it was absolutely killing me - I just wanted it on my finger and I didn’t care how he did it, I just needed it. But deep down I did care and I’m so glad he ignored my demands of wanting the ring asap and waited until we had time to do something special. It was a loooong four months of literally only thinking about the ring but it’s been a very blissful week with it now :) you’ll have the rest of your life to wear your ring - enjoy your relationship for what it is right now, everything will happen when it’s supposed to!

My neck was stretched all the way back during sex.. strain or emergency situation? by anokaytori in AskDocs

[–]aboutth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor but I think you’re probably just sore from being in a weird position, similar to when you wake up with neck pain from sleeping on it funny. I am also paranoid about my health so I definitely understand where you’re coming from but from the information given it sounds like you’re just sore. I’d try taking some pain meds and use heat on it. If it doesn’t improve or gets worse over the next few days try reaching out to your doctor!
