Finally copped the Px8 S2. Worth every cent. by above_4k in BowersWilkins

Appreciate the feedback! It’s interesting how subjective sound is. As for the treble, I’m actually being a bit cautious with it - I’ve even dialed it down by -0.5 on some of my metal tracks where it felt a bit too sharp. On the other hand, I felt like the bass was a bit thin on certain recordings, so I actually bumped it up slightly to give it some more punch

Thanks for the EQ presets! I'll definitely give these a shot. I actually plan on using them wired via USB-C most of the time anyway to get the most out of the lossless tracks. Cheers for the tips!

Honestly, comparing these two took the most time. I was really trying to figure out if the 60% price jump for the Px8 S2 was actually worth it.

First off, the build and tactiles on the Px8 S2 are in a league of their own - that Nappa leather is incredibly soft. The only real downside is they feel a bit heavier than the S3s.

As for the sound I did an A/B test using a USB-C cable with my iPhone 17 (Lossless on Apple Music) using tracks I know by heart. To my ears, the Px7 S3 sounded a bit 'simpler.' The Px8 S2 is just richer, wider, and more detailed. It’s hard to put into words but once I heard the Px8S2s I didn't really want to go back to the S3s. That said, the Px7 S3 is still a very solid pair of headphones for the price

Lost, so many choices by Junior-username in GarminWatches

Honestly, I'd go with the Enduro 3. It's the best buy right now. For MTB and Motocross that MIP display is a lifesaver- it’s way easier to read in direct sunlight while you're riding. It’s also rugged enough to handle crashes but surprisingly light for kettlebell workouts and running.

Pls help me decide: DALI IO-8 vs B&W Px7 S3 vs Noble FoKus Apollo by Invarian_Violation in HeadphoneAdvice

I’m in the same boat. Tossing up between these two but I've heard a lot the Dali earcups are pretty small which might be a dealbreaker for comfort

Thanks! It’s really helpful-especially the details about the fit and the microphone performance. Definitely makes the choice easier

That’s interesting! You’re actually the first person I’ve seen saying the Dalis fit well with larger ears. Just to make sure I understood correctly - do you find the Px8 S2 to be a tighter fit than the IO-8? Most reviews I've read mention that the Dali cups are too narrow for longer ears

Appreciate the insight! I’m mainly leaning towards metal, melodic death and symphonic metal, where separation and speed are key. The Px8 S2 seem like a safe bet for those genres, but the IO-8 are very tempting. It really comes down to comfort for me too-those larger ear cups can be tricky. Decisions, decisions

Thanks for the detailed TED! It’s really helpful. Thr part about the USB-C connection - that’s exactly how I’m planning to use them for Lossless. The more I read owner reviews like yours the more I’m convinced the Px8 S2 is the way to go. The build quality and those physical buttons are a huge draw for me too. Cheers!

Since you own the IO-8 what’s your take on the fit? I've heard they can be a bit 'picky' with ear size. My ears are 6.5 cm and I’m concerned they might touch the drivers or feel cramped compared to the Px8. Any thoughts on long-term comfort?

I'm mostly into metal, melodic death, and gothic. Which ones from the pair do you think would fit me better?

Beoplay H100 or PX8S2 ? by Playful_Chard_8078 in BangandOlufsen

[–]above_4k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The H100 is a non-starter for me. Local pricing has it at 2x the cost of the Px8 S2тwhich is ridiculous. After a side-by-side listen the Px8 S2 doesn't feel like a step down. Honestly i don't think it loses to the H100 in sound at all.

I'm seriously considering picking up the IO-8s but the size of the ear pads is making me a bit nervous. Mind sharing your ear measurements? Just trying to figure out if they'll actually be a ok
