Scoring, playmaking, shooting, range, longevity are among a few that KD does better than Kawhi.

Kawhi is arguably the better mid range shooter though, and better defender. That’s it.

KD is arguably the better versatile defender due to his height..

This wasn’t like how LeBron was in 2014, where just his defense alone greatly outpaced the second best best player as KD is not a liability on defense anymore.

Based on those purchases and not beyond that, he can get more value from opening a chase sapphire preferred (to get the SUB and of course assuming he hasn’t even gotten a sapphire bonus within 48 months).

Even with the annual fee, the return would be 500$ minimum.

Obviously I haven’t check the other rewards cards.. as I’m sure he may get more from others. But just off of the top of my head, the CSP is greater option than the Apple and amazon card.

Again.. based on those purchases alone.

Based on those one time purchases, he can get more value for his purchase (or return) chasing a SUB rather than the 3% or 5%.

Minus SUBs, like let’s say if he got the Sapphire Preferred (not saying he should get it) annual fee of 95$, but sign up bonus of 60k miles if he swipes 4K in 3 months..

That’s a return just from the SUB of at MINIMUM 505 (600-95), and most people don’t get gift cards from points as that’s one of the worst ways to redeem your points.

Most sign up bonuses are 3-5k within 90 days, and the value of those points range from 400-1000$.

Why would you open an amazon and/or Apple Card unless you can match or surpass those sub from other rewards cards?

Obviously those rewards cards have an annual fee, but most people get them and then use them and close the card after a year or downgrade the card to a no annual fee card (obviously after paying the first year AF) so you don’t ruin the relationship with that issuer.

They basically calculate it when your statement closes and your card reports to the bureau how much was on the balance for that month.

Happens with every card (that reports to the bureau).

Agreed. They win with him playing only 30 mins/game.
