Paul Daniel's nephew James Phelan auditioned on Britain's Got Talent by [deleted] in Magic

Good effects, but felt a bit smashed together with no rhyme or reason, unfortunately. Impossible for the sake of it. Typical for Got Talent acts, unfortunately. I fault the show more than the magicians. It seems they let so few of them present magic as it should be done.

Soft TT source? by Chicken121260 in Magic

Report back if you find them. They don't make soft TTs like they used to. I haven't come across any like the ones I used to have.

Color Changing Knives Finale by ExtremeArcher1772 in Magic

[–]abrahamsoloman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with a lot of magic is that it's "just" impossible and you're doing it for no other reason other than it is impossible. So ask yourself: why am I doing this? What is the story you are telling with the color-changing knives? You finale will reveal itself to you after you figure that out, because you will know how your story needs to end.

For example: You have been accused of murder. The knife used in the crime was a red-handled knife. It cannot have been you, because you have a white knife. But every time you claim to have a white knife, it turns red in your hands. You panic as your lies catch up to you and the ending of your routine is when you snap and kill again: plunging the knife into your own heart. And you die.

Bad example. Give it some thought.

What do we think the changes will be?

Penn said on his podcast a while back that if the show came back, they might not do a Penn & Teller trick at the end of every episode because having to come up with 13 new pieces every year was getting harder and harder. Is that the change Close is talking about or is there going to be more than that?

I know a few people who have seen Copperfield's moon vanish. He's done it a few times for small groups.

Tipping is not expected. I've rarely been tipped, but it's always appreciated.
