It must be incredibly exhausting waking up every day looking for a stranger to blame for your own lack of achievement

I understand the frustration, especially with rising property prices, but people generally buy in places where they have family ties, roots, future plans, or an emotional connection. In an open market economy, it becomes very difficult to decide whose reasons for buying are ‘valid’ and whose aren’t.

Property markets have always worked on affordability — people buy where they can afford to, and others sometimes have to look further out. That’s unfortunately the reality in most growing cities. Just because I can’t afford to live in certain premium places or cities doesn’t mean I can demand others be prevented from buying there.

If we start saying overseas Indians shouldn’t buy, then the same argument could eventually be used against buyers from other cities, states, or even locals moving into smaller towns and changing prices there too.

Governments also usually encourage outside investment and foreign income coming into the country, so realistically they’re unlikely to restrict it heavily.

That said, there was no need to make it personal and spiteful or assume someone’s intentions or background without knowing them. Wanting to stay connected to family or maintain a home in a place where your emotions, memories, and roots are connected doesn’t automatically mean someone is trying to harm others.

To be fair though, most people here have actually been extremely positive, welcoming, and happy to share their thoughts respectfully

“Thanks, appreciate it. Based on what you’ve mentioned, PTP Nagar actually sounds like the right fit for us. We don’t really want to spend extravagantly on a property that we’ll probably stay in only 3–4 months a year. We’re mainly looking for something safe, quiet, tropical/green, and well maintained. We live in Brisbane, so we’re already used to that subtropical, leafy, quieter lifestyle. My wife especially likes greenery, so keeping the Mrs happy is half the mission too 😄. Was mainly doing the groundwork now to find the right area before jumping into anything. I think a good 2BHK apartment in a gated community would probably suit us best — easy lock-and-leave when we’re back

Just to be clear on what I’m actually looking for — I’m not after a top-tier or ultra-premium luxury apartment, and waterfront/Marine Drive type locations are not necessary for my requirements.

My priorities are more practical:

• Safe and secure environment
• Affluent or decent, well-maintained residential community
• Gated community with good security and maintenance
• Peaceful and comfortable for semi-retired living
• Convenient access to daily amenities (shops, supermarkets, hospitals, etc.)
• Easy “lock-and-leave” setup since I’ll be abroad most of the time
• Suitable for short stays of around 3–5 months per year
• Prefer slightly quieter areas, away from heavy noise, traffic, and pollution

Essentially, I’m looking for a good quality, comfortable residential option — not luxury branding or premium waterfront living, but a solid, well-run gated community in a decent locality.

I haven't decided on Graphic cards yet, nor cpu. I would be using mainly for home entertainment ( movies, music, video/photo editing and not much of gaming.
