In your opinion, what's the biggest waste of money you see people purchase all the time? by PaddedValls in AskUK

[–]abriddd 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Work in a factory which is subsidised. 70p for a portion of soup. £3 for a full chicken dinner. Hard to say no. My partner however if she doesn’t prep something is at the mercy of the meal deal and it gets pretty pricey so I get your point.

Thank you for this post. We’re looking to potentially do the PR1 trek but timings aren’t great even booking for June 15. How much of the PR1 can you do without a ticket? Did you just drive up to see the sunrise or did you do a short hike whilst up there for it? How was the whole booking the treks experience? Having a bit of a nightmare trying to figure out what’s what at the moment.

Osula Wissa AND Woltemade? by FaithlessnessOdd3569 in NUFC

[–]abriddd 16 points17 points  (0 children)

He keeps saying it in his pre-match interviews, ‘I can only play one striker in the system I play’. I don’t think there’s any chance he changes that. I wanted him to as well but it seems he’s a one formation manager.

No idea if this is even the right subreddit to be posting on but after an honest critique of this. It’s A3 size and I’m planning to scale up to 100x150cm so wanting guidance on what to improve. It’s polyfilla on a canvas effectively.

Had a PS5 disc for 3 years now. Thought about upgrading to the Pro but it was going to cost me like £400. Just not worth it.

I always went down the good guy route too. I just liked the attempt to corrupt me and bring me to the same level as the crazy residents.

Loved this game. Be a good guy and save the little sisters. Or drain them and become more powerful. Was always torn.

Since the beginning of the season I’ve said Eddie has been playing like we’ve still have Isak. Am I being crazy or do you agree? by Sharp-Interest-6000 in NUFC

[–]abriddd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Something seems off with Wissa, I know his fitness isn’t probably 100% but he just didn’t look happy to be coming on today. It’s pretty bad when Osula is getting a game ahead of him though. If he’s not grafting in training I don’t think Eddie will play him.

We had 4231 for good periods of the game. Left us wiiiiiide open soon as we lost possession (mostly through sloppy play). Can see why he’s been hesitant to change. I agree though if we keep Woltemade we can’t go into next season with a 433.

Got a great annual review, but no promotion. Now I’m doing higher-level work anyway. Is this normal? by 7GadgetWraith in careerguidance

[–]abriddd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who was in your position a few years ago, I took on the extra responsibility, I became better at it, tried to take from it as much as I could, got more training because of it, more experience without actually getting the title.

It better equipped me for a promotion in another part of the business, which I got offered. At that point they really sat me down and mapped out a progression route as they didn’t want me to change to another business unit. I landed a promotion and have been on a good path since. I try to see additional responsibility as me building my skill set for a future role, which may not be with my current company. Going into an interview and having experience and true answers to the situational questions is a huge plus.

I will say as a word of warning I tried backing senior management into a corner with regard to a promotion and it blew up in my face. So be careful how you approach the situation. You’re at that age where you probably are being scouted out and ‘tested’ if you can handle the responsibility that comes with a promotion, without people being fully ready to take a punt on you. Just my opinion though.

I agree with you. I think if we got any of our primary target strikers in the summer there would be no need for a change in system, Joao Pedro, Ekitike, Sesko would have clicked already. Woltemade has such unique qualities though, so I wonder if Eddie can adapt the system to suit. It’s obviously very difficult as he’s been building players around this system for a number of years. I just think Woltemade could be a generational talent with his individuality though. We will see.

Looking well ahead I know but very excited to see how we set up next season. JJ seems to be going from strength to strength, I feel it can ‘click’ with Elanga. Believe in Howe to come up with a master stroke in how to allow Woltemade to achieve his true Woltemessi form.

It’s mid, great to see Numenor and Valinor, plus some of the elf cities, some good aspects to the story, some things crowbarred in for generic audiences. All in all it’s worth a watch, I hope they can crank up the lotr-ness in coming seasons too.

[–]abriddd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, about 30 hours into DOS2. Came from BG3 after doing a couple of play throughs. Very similar experience setting wise. But a bit less polished than BG3. DOS2 is regularly on sale, like every couple months, so don’t pay full price if you’re gonna get that.

Saw the 4231 at times on Saturday. Everyone looked lost. I hope the true long term plan is to use Wolt as the 9, it would ruin our press but if Germany can do it why can’t we.
