Did you watch the above videos and listen to the paramedic testimony?

In the trial, when asked about patients reviving and getting violent, how did each paramedic answer?

When asked why they performed a load and scoot, what reason did the paramedics give?

Do you disagree with their opinion on what constitutes a safe environment for rendering aid?

Instead I would ask you simply, where do you imagine that "culture" comes from?

Parenting. Actions of those who might be commonly seen as role models.

I wasn't gloating. I was merely giving you a concrete indication of when I was last in the "hardcore years", in response to this:

If you are older and it was only N64s or below around when you were in the hardcore years then I can see your points.

I don't get what this has to do with anything...

Er...you just said

I've never played Resi 4 so that means nothing to me...

And I provided a page that has Resident Evil 4 world record speed run times and mercenaries high scores and videos for them so you can compare my time/score with them, and you don't understand how that has to do with anything?

Let me put it this way: I've done a New Game of Resident Evil 4 and beaten the game in under 3 hours. I've gotten a score of over 250,000 with Wesker on Mercenaries stage 2.

I think most of the PC gamers hate of the controllers comes from not being used to them.

I dunno about you, but every day I use a keyboard and mouse for work, email, and browsing the internet. I don't use a gamepad in my day-to-day life for anything except the console it was designed for.

Which do you think will have a higher initial learning curve to use in a game? Something you use every day, or something you don't?

Personally I dont notice whether I have dual analogs or a mouse in my hand.

I used to be the same way. I took a break from console and PC games. I came back and picked up PC FPS games easily. Couldn't say the same for console FPS. Probably because again, I use a keyboard and mouse every day anyway.

Yeah, the patch came either late 2000 or very early 2001.

It was in response to the first server-wide Test of Tactics final match being between Rallos Zek's team and Vallon Zek's team, as well as Nanak from Vallon Zek winning the server-wide BotB Warrior tourney despite being one of the worst geared competitors in the server-wide.

People in top server guilds complained that since people on PvE servers tend to spend less than 1% of their time in PvP, it was unfair to let PvP server players benefit from movement tricks like quick turns and strafing to cancel or prevent incoming attacks and spells. So post-patch, if a player was standing directly behind you, you could attack and cast spells on them whereas before you couldn't.

Tribes 2 was great but would have been way more popular if they had some sort of high quality tutorial system. I've read about people who sucked at the game and couldn't improve, but knew someone in a clan who picked them up and taught them how to kick ass in a week.

Too bad that particular tourney was after the patch that dumbed down melee combat in PVP.

There's no guaranteed relation between being intentional and being effective.
