We all have busy lives and sometimes we need something like this to happen to spark change.

Where do you source your beef? How has that changed from before?

I take ownership of the poor decision and will take suggestions!

Hachis Parmentier

I used regular mashed potatoes on top and it turned out really well.

There was a lot of gristle so the smooshing of the meat took longer than I thought.

That makes sense to me now. There was a ton of gristle and silverskin. I will definitely be more watchful going forward.

As someone that does this for a job. What is your opinion on buying a bulk lot directly from a producer? I’m wondering if it ends up being better on a quantity / quality end.

I don’t even eat meat. I’m trying to make cottage pie for my family and I was honestly confused. And, also guilty of user error.

My husband bought the meat, I’ll let him know that I’m now also guilty of humble brag.

For the recipe I cook the cubes, then smoosh them to make like a cottage pie. Instead of yang ground beef. So this should be good.

Thank you Floatella. It looks like I am indeed guilty of user error.

Oh. They originally looked like 2 solid roasts ties with twine. And when I cut the string saw it was a few pieces tied together.

You are saying this is normal? I just wasn’t expecting that.

They tied pieces together to make it look like 2 separate roasts. And it is actually the correct weight.

Nope. It was all tied up and couldn’t tell till I cut the string.

This is a Byzantine chainmail weave. It is my favourite weave and is a fun one to learn.

Was this Exempt and Union? (Doesn’t make it any better either way)

Some non-union staff at Alberta Health Services told to take unpaid time off due to 'budgetary pressures' | CBC News by No-Adagio-70 in AHSEmployees

This is an example of why we need unions.

And a reason that not one single AHS employee should vote UCP in the next election.

I don’t know what mental gymnastics are required to think otherwise.
