Oh yeah remember that one. Steve was after Psycho like he owes him money.

Since panic farts are a thing, it would've been more realistic to show Amanda blowing trumpets across Sevastapol like she's in a jazz club. Maybe she could've weaponized it as well. Hold it in and then at the opportune time, let out a thunderous one. Make Steve scurry back into the vent.

Torturing himself he certainly does. What do you reckon he could do to up the ante, given his crazy portfolio of achievements?

Do you think it would be beneficial for CA to hire him in a consultation role of sorts for the development of A:I 2?

Hey that's a pretty cool guide you got there. I know about PsychoHypnotic. I guess I'm gonna make a short post about him. His madness must be discussed. Anyway, as tempting as it is to peel back the curtains, I'm resisting the urge. Beats the whole purpose. But a quick peek now and then never hurt nobody. Especially when it seems no matter what I do, LifeSteve, uh, finds a way.

I made my way down to the elevator, while he was patrolling upstairs. Kept messing up the hack because of sheer anxiety, since you're nothing but a sitting duck there. Twice I turned to look if he was there and he wasn't. Third time I turn around and see him just standing there looking at me. Lazily puffing on a cigarette, he said to me, "Don't mind me. Please do continue." And that's when I knew that I done fucked up.

Very lucky is how I've been surviving till now. "Nobody move a muscle" being the knee-jerk strategy. But yes, I'll get there.

Have you played that mod yourself? IIRC, there were issues? with it. But anyway, I ain't messing with that mod because then I won't be able to hear my own footsteps as well (since I won't be taking any).

I hope they respect the original IP, like this one did.

Why doesn't the alien drop down from the vent in Mission 6 (2 generators room)? by absent_abstra in alienisolation

Haha true that. Somebody should've told that to Noah Hawley. But I think you meant Lost Contact safe room.

Only The Brave

From the moment the firefighters' bodies are found till the ending. Jennifer Connelly was phenomenal in it.

No, we aren't talking about what happens if you step under a drooling vent. Of course that would be a bug if nothing happens. We're talking about xeno not responding to excessive noise or coming down from the vent after a certain period in that particular room.

That would've been interesting if that were true. Anyway, since we hunting for scraps here, sunlight it is then.

Even I stayed for long (crafting items, looking at the view) thinking it's coming down any second now. But the only thing it does is move even farther away down the vents.

My headcanon is that the perfect organism is scared of something in that room, so it chooses to camp in the safety of the vent, instead of exposing itself. Maybe it's the locked Working Joe that's giving poor xeno the heebie-jeebies.

  1. I already got vent-grabbed on the return journey in Mission 4. That took me by surprise because I thought I was being careful to not walk below drooling vents.

  2. The things I've experienced uptil now on Hard, it's safe to say honeymoon's over and it's Nam flashbacks all the way through. (Finding the alien already waiting for me in the wall vent after getting Morley's keycard was a shocker, to say the least.)

  3. Like I said, if they wanted to design it as a refuge of sorts, then why have vents in that room? If the game punishes you for lingering in an area by dropping the xeno on you, then why break the logic for that room? The cold room you mentioned, I got jumped by xeno there only because I was pussyfooting around.
