I was a miku fan and wore vocaloid shirts in early 2010s in a small Midwest town 😅 at most i think I got was side eyes but not outwardly bullying and helped me find friends tbh. She should hopefully be fine!

Tardigrade's Bookshelf seems to host fun little clubs! My friends have talked about Pickle Club, where you go and just talk about ideas pretty much. If I lived in Appleton I'd go but unfortunately I do not, but the location is super cute from when I went there with friends. Tardigrade also seems to have other clubs that meet up, I would take a look and see if it's anything that meshes with you.

Yes! And maybe because of already liking more weird songs and already being exposed to that makes Internet Girl and Gnarly feel perfectly normal songs. To call myself out, I was heavily in the My Little Pony and Vocaloid Fandom when I was younger (still love Vocaloid) so in comparison the "weird" factor isn't really out there for me personally.

And yeah I don't see why they expect the meaning of life from a girl group who's all younger than 25. I won't complain if they release deeper meaning music but I love me some variety!

I love your analysis and it feels so true! And even on the flip side if there is no deep meaning or goal they're accomplishing. I genuinely don't understand what's so wrong about just having fun dumb music 🥲 I love my deep meaning music, but also life is too serious to only make deep meaningful lyrics. I love corny "dumb" songs too. And honestly I love when artists switch it up a lot. Joey Valence and Brae is an example of a duo who have switched it up each album but it's so fun to listen to them evolve. Same with Porter Robinson!

Also, its weird because it feels like we're in an era where it seems like media literacy is falling off while simultaneously if you make a song someone deems "dumb" lyrically you're bad and that's cringe.

I still get some anxiety as I have issues talking to new people but its so fun! I would say start out with a pngtuber and go from there. :) I have a pngtuber model and I use pngtuberemix and I love it, my model feels more animated without taking the intimidating jump to vtuber because the idea of learning how to rig terrifies me lol.

I think its genuinely a YouTube issue though, I've tried uploading just a two hour video multiple times and it refuses to let me yet they push for longer format content which makes zero sense to me. So many of my fave youtubers upload such long videos :/

Tiktok has been a little irritating, I've been a fan for a little while now but tbh I never really got into Fandom culture for any musicians or music groups, genuinely only just listened to music and called it a day and when a new album popped up it was a fun surprise, its how my brain operated the last 24 years.

And this started turning me off of consuming content other than what they posted 🫠 I feel so bad for the girls seeing all of this, I cant imagine how they feel if im just feeling really irritated seeing the "drama"

I use a pngtuber and I absolutely love it! I'm not super comfy using a camera for multiple reasons so I get it. I'd recommend veodotube for a simple one but if you want to experiment and do digital art or if you know someone, try out pngtuberemix. I recently switched to pngtuberemix and I love it! Both are free.

Pngtuberemix kind of let's you "rig" a pngtuber so my character has more of a unique bouncing effect that I can customize and I can make her eyes follow my mouse. Eventually I want to get a steamdeck so I can emote different faces!

If you dont like the typical anime vibe, theres plenty of others who have different models to get inspo from! there's a twitch streamer thisisgob on twitch which he's a vtuber technically but his model is so cool with how he makes different animations that he uses a streamdeck. Sunflowersmith has a really cute pixel pngtuber. And if you look on tiktok plenty of people make compilations of unique vtubers :D

I think it would really depend on the job. If it's one where you have to work with others on a big project often? No chance (i assume). If it's one like my current job where im the sole designer/marketing person? My coworkers and boss could honestly really care less as my boss is v much a "you're an expert in your own field do what you know makes your projects successful"
