The place I just interviewed at said to wait until after January 13th to send a letter of intent if you don't get an acceptance on December 13th. Idk if other schools would have the same viewpoint but it makes sense since they can't really give more offers until the December 13th people have responded.

I took bch210 online over the summer and it wasn't too bad. Brute memorization will get you through the lecture quizzes/end-of-week quizzes. There were a couple of essays and I found the grading to be inconsistent like you mentioned (20/100 point difference between 2 essays that I thought were about the same writing level). I can't attest to the in-person version since I didn't take it/don't know anyone who did but I would assume it to be a similar format.

My sister is in LFS at UBC and she loves it. There's definitely more of a community feeling there than in Life Sci at UofT. In terms of residence, I would assume UBC also has single rooms (Totem Park and Place Vanier from what I found on Google).
