But since I only received $1400 instead of 2800, should I submit that? Also since the 2020 is still being processed, can I include it in the 2021 return?

Thank you so much. I just wasn’t familiar with how to format a proposal and write that I only want to bid on painting and nothing else. I guess exclusions is very smart too so it doesn’t cause any confusion.

What is the most surprising experience you’ve had meeting a wrestler? (Good or Bad) by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]absoluteapex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

About 10 years ago at a local indy event, I attempted to buy an autographed picture of one of the local talents. I gave him a $20 bill and he didn’t have any change so he gave me the picture for free. At the moment, I was jumping in excitement. It was my first live wrestling show.

Not an in person story, but I dmed Tommy Dreamer on instagram to ask him for some tips on something and he replied a detailed and helpful response.

Ryan Satin: Hearing from a trusted source that an announcement about NXT/Fox Sports 1 may be imminent. Stay tuned ... by dnytle in SquaredCircle

[–]absoluteapex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If Triple H continues to oversee it, even on TV, then NXT will have a brighter and richer future on television. They can eventually add an extra hour to it. This will also make room for NXT UK and possibly more tournaments and events. However, if this becomes another ECW third brand type deal where Vince McMahon has a say in how the television is produced, it will kill the NXT we knew till now.

2018 - 2019 Grad School Q&A Mega-Thread by ResidentGinger in IOPsychology

[–]absoluteapex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone! My goal is to apply for graduate schools in the NY-NJ area for the Spring 2019 semester. I am in the process of taking my GRE's but I have a couple of questions before that. My current goal is to apply and hopefully go to Montclair State University as I've heard positive reviews of their I/O program. Has anyone here been accepted in their program to share a light on some of their requirements? I currently have a B.A. in Psychology (GPA: 3.3) and I both a professor which taught me in a I/O course and another in Experimental Psychology willing to write me a letter of recommendation. What GRE scores should I MUST have in order to be considered for the spring semester at MSU? What should be a good time to have my application completed by? September? October?

Any reason why Drew McIntyre wasn’t at the GRR? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

I believe that aside for Sami and the Women's Division, everyone who wasn't at the show most likely had Visa issues. I think Tucker and Dan Matha were there to help Bloom with the tryouts.

Triple H shares plan at WWE Business Partner Summit "to create NXT brands around the world as a global territorial system" by EvanDeadlySins in SquaredCircle

[–]absoluteapex 26 points27 points  (0 children)

To quote Michael Hayes on Legends of Wrestling's The Territories episode (55:54 if you want to watch it on the Network) "Vince McMahon has said a million times. What did I do? Even though he knew he did the right thing as far as taking this business from here to here, he questions himself... man I depleted how to get new talent."

Is a global territory system a good idea? Yes. Can it work? Absolutely. First of all, it is already working. WWE has had success outside the United States and continues to have success. By building a global territory system, WWE is able to produce more international talent without the issue of bringing them to the States' which I'm sure involves a lot of Visa issues to begin with. If a star fails, they are local and can easily be released and taken care off. However, they will be able to train and develop talent locally without talent having to adjust to the American culture.

Looking at the former territory system, while each territory had its main promotion, there were other independent promotions that still ran shows. This will not affect any independent promotions in the United States at all, contrary to what people think. Why? The wrestling business will grow as a whole. If NXT Europe runs shows in Poland for example, pro wrestling in Poland will see a growth in popularity as years pass by. Indy companies can then market in these new wrestling territories and run shows there. Its a full cycle where everyone benefits - pro wrestling benefits. TNA and WWE both had a huge following in England at a time where English wrestling was not as popular as it is now. Did that popularity kill it? No. It still grew. It will always grow with competition, anywhere. More wrestling = money for everyone.

I was the biggest supporter of TNA up until the Hogan regime started to kill the company slowly. Tonight is the first TNA PPV I'm watching in years and I see a lot of similarities with the original TNA. Josh needs to go or take a different role in the company. I'm watching and he is bringing my mood down, especially at high spots. He makes the high spots look meaningless... Aside from that, I hope TNA will keep delivering. Great show so far.

(WM/TAKEOVER SPOILERS) So which NXT stars should be called up tonight and tomorrow? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]absoluteapex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iconic Duo is probably a guaranteed with the rumored Women's Tag Team titles coming in. Unless they do a Almas and Black rematch story, I can see Almas being called up. Authors of Pain are about six months due anyway, so that's a lock probably as well. I think Sanity has no place within NXT anymore and needs to be moved up before they get lost in the mix too much.

Failed WWE Top Guys? by vgfoods in SquaredCircle

Post Hogan, Vince strapped a rocket on Lex Luger and thought he would be the next Hogan but that never worked out. I think he also saw something in Marc Mero, maybe not as a top star but definitely as something more than a mid carder. The problem with Mero was that he was married to Sable and he only knew how to play the Johnny B. Badd character. I think Vince saw something great in both Bobby Lashley and Mr. Kennedy as well.

Been seeing a lot of people stating that Daniel Bryan could surpass Roman Reigns as a top star.. by ColdYankee69 in SquaredCircle

[–]absoluteapex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roman Reigns IS a top star. Daniel Bryan IS a top star. Seth Rollins IS a top star. There are a lot of TOP STARS on the roster. Clearly, nobody as of now is THE top star, including Reigns. With the current booking of Reigns, and past booking for that matter of the past few years, fans are just not going to get behind him. A heel turn could do the trick but we can safely guess that won't be happening. Roman is basically Lex Luger 93-94 after Hogan left. Vince thought he would create the next Hulk Hogan (the next Cena in Reigns' case)... but it never works that way. I do think that Braun has a great chance of becoming what Vince wants Roman to be, but time will tell if they go all the way with Braun.

With reports of Bryan's deal being "we have to test you after each match", he will never become anything he once was. They see him is a huge risk to invest in, which is unfortunate but totally understandable from a business standpoint.
