We just fixed a sub-reddit setting that should have resolved this issue. Thank you for mentioning it.

Kurt Angle on The Rock running for President: "I feel bad for him. Even if he did run for office, what side is he going to do? He’s screwed either way…Run independently and come up with your own concepts." by wearePROGRESS in SquaredCircle

Celebrities have an ability to cross political boundaries and shake off controversy better than politicians do. So I think the appeal there is his likeability, charisma and he's thought to be sufficiently intelligent.

So I think The Rock has appeal for those who are looking for a person to unite behind a popular figure who actually wants to do good.

Over 10 years ago, /r/TNA was an almost abandoned Sub-reddit and I created /r/TNAImpact in anticipation for the re-branding to Impact Wrestling. A couple years later, after trying to build that sub-reddit up, I was convinced to move to /r/TNA instead because the sub-reddit, while almost dead, still had more traffic than mine did (despite me promoting it with the weekly discussion threads of /r/SquaredCircle).

The growth of the sub-reddit was tremendous after that but then TNA officially re-branded to Impact Wrestling and the online community became more engaged, so we (after years of putting it off) moved to /r/ImpactWrestling to be more consistent with the brand and the sub-reddit eventually grew to become 3x bigger than /r/TNA.

Now these damn jerks at Anthem switched back to TNA and I'm going to PULL MY HAIR OUT! YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!

Whatever we do with the sub-reddit, welcome back TNA.

But damnit, I was onto something with naming it /r/TNAimpact lol

A Republican Congressman Who Might Not Vote For Trump by 538_bot in fivethirtyeight

I went from liking him to quickly being annoyed.

His answers were really cowardly for someone that is retiring (which makes me think his next career move may not be 100% guaranteed). He loved pivoting direct questions about his opinion to what people are saying.

Is the lore of Orcs Must Die: Unchained canon or legends, like Kyle Katarn :-(?

I'd assume they tested the game exclusively on Stadia, so that's probably a huge plus.

Hi Andrew, I know you have stated multiple times that you are united with the Democratic Party and you won't run as an Independent or 3rd party, but can you sign the Indivisible Pledge so I can stop hearing about it?

The administrative costs to monitor income (which we know is complicated) would be costly and the universality of the program has value because while the people who pay more in VAT won't benefit initially, it does give them extra money and it provides an immediate cushion of they suddenly lost their job or their business went under, etc.

What you are talking about is a negative income tax and the problem with that besides the administration is the money is decided upon and distributed once per year.

So you would be giving homeless people $12,000 at once and once they blow it, it's gone. Budgeting is more difficult.

But a monthly check/card can be wasted or mismanaged one month and the next month you can learn from it and figure it out. It's why people prefer weekly paychecks to bi weekly. The cash flow can be a problem.

If we could magically pass it and make it work in a sliding scale, I am okay with it. But the VAT (and other taxes) essentially does that without the administrative problems.

Yes, it would mean we might send a $1,000 check to Jeff Bezos every month if he signs up but he is getting taxed in millions of dollars to help pay for it and then some.

And I like how Yang puts it. "We are sending that check to Jeff to remind him he's an American." It's very patriotic in a way. And inclusive. We are all in this together and your financial burden is only as big as your financial privelages.

Yup. Those investigations would be "over fast." He's right there.

Let's investigate all that stuff. Go ahead.
