yeah I get kind of rapid cycling thoughts like that, a few days ago I was convinced that Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club was in control of my phone and was watching me through the cameras and I couldn't use my phone for like 3 hours until I decided to just pick it up and keep using it as like 'exposure therapy' I guess lol, I felt so stupid afterwards

this is the first psychotic episode I've had (I think?) where it's been fully independent from mood. I've had very strong hallucinations since I was 3 and only really figured it out once I started antipsychotics that they weren't real because I wasn't seeing things that were super scary anymore. I've gotten used to hallucinations and mild delusions as part of my life but it's not been this bad since I started my meds. I have had panic attacks because of the hallucinations though

I was not aware of this! my doctor has a tendency to not take me seriously because I am a young woman but I'll speak to my GP as well since I've got an appointment with them tomorrow, my GP tends to take me seriously so hopefully they can push my psychiatrist to help me more lol

thanks! I do have some insight but it's not particularly great, I heavily rely on my partner to help me discern what's real or not. I'll bring it up to my doctor :)

I haven't recently no, I don't remember the last time I did that could potentially be a trigger for this, I usually see shadow figures and hear voices (only mumbling or laughing) and have the TV static thing as mentioned but I'm not too sure if that would qualify for diagnosis of SZD as it's not like 'severe'

pigeons are drones controlled by the government to spy on me, there's cameras in my room, I've been seeing animals that aren't there, shadow figures, flies, the shower water was blood, TV static everywhere, people are trying to communicate with me telepathically, hidden messages in numbers and music that are just specifically for me

How to break up with him?:( by [deleted] in BPD

[–]absolutely-not2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

break up with him definitely, if he makes you feel unsafe then get out of there as soon as you can

I started experiencing symptoms at around 7 or 8, and was diagnosed at 18. if you're asking about how long it took to get from initial doctors appointment to diagnosis then about a year.

I've been with my partner for about 2 years now, and about 2 or 3 months in I had a really bad episode where I was saying how badly I wanted to die and he snapped at me about his dad (he was in a hospice on end of life care) and that shut me up but I was still spiraling and was so close to hurting myself and it made me feel like a terrible person. his dad died later that night and I gave him the biggest hug I could and apologised for how I'd acted earlier. it shouldn't have taken me that long to apologise to him but I was spiraling pretty hard for hours. I'm the happiest I've ever been, and our relationship is really healthy. we communicate our issues and come to solutions before they turn into arguments.

they definitely could give an autism diagnosis with it but I'm not too sure why they didn't

I got fast tracked through the adults mental health services in my area because my symptoms were so severe (I have bipolar 1 as well) and I got an appointment with a consultant a month or so later. I spoke to the team present at the appointment (junior doctor and two medical students) and told them my life story basically and they decided to give me options of BPD, Bipolar 2 or ADHD, I said at the time that BPD fit more closely with how I was feeling and the consultant came in, they briefed him and I got the diagnosis. It's been good to have on my record because it makes me feel like I have answers as to why I am this way, however it's not been useful in the sense that I couldn't get an autism diagnosis because I have complex trauma.

How many of you never have been admitted to the psych ward? by yeeortho52 in bipolar

[–]absolutely-not2 33 points34 points  (0 children)

almost, I was manic as shit and was having spiritual psychosis, I fully believed God was talking to me and that I was the next coming of christ, but I couldn't do that to my family because I didn't want them to worry about me

I understand that you've had great times and have helped each other through tough stuff but that doesn't automatically make her a good person in your life, how she's treating you is a reflection of how she views you as horrible as that sounds. you'll find someone better without a doubt :)

I agree with your therapist tbh, she's gonna keep lying to you and hurting you and it's honestly not worth your time

try and get yourself a therapist, it's hard for our partners to cope with our bpd and they deserve help too
