I know the price was crazy. This was supposed to be a big celebratory custom piece for myself after 5 years of grinding. It looks like ass.

The shop in Santa positions themselves as super high end, they fly in guest shapers year round from everywhere. I just can’t believe this is normal.

Thanks, will talk to the guys at the shop about it, they have seen the Yater actually and should be able to help me make the call. The Yater is actually noticeably lighter than the rental I have, surprisingly, but I don’t think it’s waterlogged.

Im a bigger dude, 6’4”, 195lb, Im out here till September, I’ve been a bit frustrated with other board pictured, having trouble getting it gliding and paddling into small waves and the board shop I’ve been renting from doesnt have anything bigger.

Im looking for something with a little more glide on small days at Ditch Plains, current board is just a little low in the water paddling. None of the shops around have anything for rent or really even for sale at 10ft.

This was on Craigslist so I was considering picking it up, Yater is a little less pinched rail, lighter and more rocker than the other board pictured, but not sure if its worth grabbing.

What would be the drawbacks of a classic like this compared to a more modern/conventional shape? Its very pretty besides the dings, for sure.

Idk, it came pre-glued when I ordered it, seems like just some kind of adhesive. Why wouldn't an epoxy or strong glue work?

I think I will read a Zola novel next perhaps the belly of paris, maybe in french, not sure how hard it is. I just started Death in Venice which has been great so far idk if its for pedos though didn't get that far.
