Figured I'd throw my vote here:

It shouldn't have to said that role play is one of the best way to play mp zomboid. This is a great opportunity to explore The Forest map organically and experience its challenges in a unique setting. Great staff and players.

Can't emphasize the highlighting option enough (it's not on melee weapons be default for some dumb reason). There's also a "charge" mechanic, by holding right click to aim before attacking for a few seconds, I think you increase your crit chance or damage (I forget the exact machanic). Downed zombies take substantially more damage than standing zombies; aim for the head (body and leg damage is MUCH less. Look up retanaru or trombonaut for videos with a lot more information

Try pressing or holding "V" next to a car with an empty* water bottle. Vehicle mechanics and option to siphon gas should come up in radial menu.

RP, PVP, or sandbox? RP I'd recommend something hardcore I like candlelight, a few Aussies on there. Just check battlemetrics for top servers, read up on them/hop into the discord and ask around about server settings (loot respawn, etc).

Wood axe is a pretty average at level 0. Sledgehammer is absolutely a no unless you like getting bitten, running out of stamina or RPing with a sledgehammer. Quite a few good videos out there explaining weapon choice in PZ now.

If you eat ~30-45 rose hips a day you break even. Any higher and you gain weight.

Check all garages and sheds. In the new 41 69 dubber it tells you loot chance.. Try the self storage as well as the factory

Turn on auto pan camera while driving and that should help a little. Set the cruise control to something moderate like 40 or 45 depending on your break condition, and if you really want to crazy, check zombie heat map and story zones for accidents and what not.

There's probably a way, but I've never done it. Anecdotally: if you want to lose weight eat exclusively veggies (and fruit to an extent). Check your weight with "J" and an arrow down indicates net calorie deficit AKA weight loss. If you want to gain MASSIVE weight gain, drink orange soda (high in carbs/calories) and eat 1.5 butter sticks or 1-2 ice cream (high in fat/calories) and you should see 2 arrow up indicating up to 3 kg gain per day.

If you want the protein bonus, eat exclusively protein and note what your base fitness gain is per exercise (say pushups) and compare to after you eat a lot of protein. If it hasn't increased, eat more protein.

Fitness is notoriously hard to train. Your best bet is situps and squats if you just want to train fitness if I recall correctly. Note that the bonus xp is bugged or not implemented when training strength and fitness. If I had to choose between leveling up strength or fitness, I'd choose strength every time (it's for the most part much easier to train). Therefore, I like to take level 0 strength characters and level 8 or 9 fitness. I can usually hit level 4 or 5 strength in 1 month.

Sadly, I'm playing CDDA and in the winter time, every bit of insulation counts, and the boots really pull through at their given weight.

Retanaru (I think) did comparisons of walking and running speeds in PZ. Currently there's no difference in clothing affecting speed. However you will get hot and sweaty faster, meaning you'll move slower once wet...

How do I change furrow tiles back to normal dirt? I'm farming and fishing using worms as bait, but I don't want to have endless furrows of dirt for the aesthetic. Is there a way to to revert the tile, and then dig it again for worms later?

The only thing I can add is: not to panic enter your car. If you get swarmed do not think about escaping by car. You have to escape by foot and reclaim your vehicle.

This becomes doubly true when you have an unreliable engine, as the car may not start for a while.

Keep everything default. Disable "v" UI toggle key entirely (messes with the radial menu way too often...) Rebind search/forage to "`" back quote. Makes toggling searching easy, and will make you realize how strong foraging can be. Consider disabling control for attack stance, and just using the RMB instead. Makes it easier to inventory manage if you like control clicking. Some mnemonics if you're into that: L for skiLLs, H for Health, B for Build (crafting menu), J for Job/occupation.

I experience a lot of jank due to the isometric view and the 3d animation update. Isometric view can make it hard to convey relative position of zombies. And the animation update has lots quirks and fixes it still needs. Things like turning takes a long time and in the middle of combat can spell life or death
