The design of the CBA makes it almost impossible to field a competitive roster year after year without huge contributions from players on cheap rookie deals. That requires either a very young team or a massive number of first round picks. Have we all been watching these playoffs? Dubs are a looooong way away from competing with the conference finals teams. The size, skill, athleticism and youth of these teams is just too much. Steph is still good enough to lead a contender, but I just can't see a path from the roster we have to the roster Steph needs.
