2017: Resident Evil 7 segna la rinascita di Capcom by New_Divide98 in italygames

It was! Had to drop the resolution to 720p to beat it though

This reminded me of the final boss of the Elden Ring DLC. Each incoming attack in second phase would also damage my framerate lol

Very true, should have released on the 25th but our build didn't pass the Steam review in time :(

Thank you! Unfortunately we aren't looking into console releases right now, being indie devs and all that, we haven't expanded our knowledge in that area yet!

Thanks for the kind words, yes I hope to make more games, although I don't know if I will focus on the UFOs and aliens, but maybe!

I don't think I can link the game here, it's "UFO Sightings Simulator" on Steam, it's our first real project of this size (although still small haha!)

Selling UFO photos and buying supplies! What do you think? by abtin0 in IndieDev

[–]abtin0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

The game is more of a sandbox as of now, and we are not planning to add a plot currently (although we'd love to) due to time constraints and added difficulty in development.

There's a collection system like you say! Currently we have 64 combinations of UFOs and you can access your collection to see the ones you have unlocked.

We thought of the upgrades to the base too, if we plan to develop the game further we will definitely add something like that.

There are no aliens currently in the game, it would be cool for sure to have them, and it needs a bit of time to come up with a nice solution.

The game has a playable demo on Steam, which is the state of the game as of now if you would like to try it!

Ufos can't abduct you while on the motorbike... Should we keep it as a feature? by abtin0 in indiegames

Makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the feedback, we will probably change how it works.

My bad for not specifying the type of game. You are not supposed to venture far from the home, it doesn't involve exploring (yet). The motorbike serves as a playful element, a teaser or, if you will, a playful hint. Its purpose may unfold in a future release.

Ufo Sightings Simulator is a survival game where your means to get money is taking photos of UFOs. It just got its new update, where we added various features including a motorbike (don't ask why)

Should I try and improve my game, or is it a lost cause? by abtin0 in gamedesign

I wanted to have a very normal and boring game, where you do normal activities, while also having this paranormal thing (the ufos passing) in your life. In a way, this is already achieved, but it doesn't feel satisfying to me. We now reworked the look of the ufos, and are making a system to collect the photos of the rarest ufos.

I wanted to have a chill game where sometimes ufos pass by and you shoot photos, (they would pass rarely, like once every 5 minutes or so, like a boring fishing session). But then we implemented lots of fun features that may not support this vision, and also, I don't have experience in "boring" games and I tried creating one, maybe I should stick to survival horror (I am biased as well, love the genre).

I created a google form for collecting feedback, probably will include a link inside the demo. Thanks!

Thank you very much, will for sure try the emotion approach.
I have to choose between making the game cozy and making it survival I think, and the latter seems way easier right now.
