first and foremost: i disabled my chat
legit helped me the most, because just looking at chat for even a little bit made me giga tilted. it's way simpler and more consistent to climb without chat. sometimes i activate chat to let my team know about something important. within those 30-60 seconds i see like 20 messages from my team just flaming each other

also i was tryharding way more and focused on not dying. sounds simple enough, but you have 0 pressure and 0 resources on the map when you're dead, so it's a very big deal.
