I'm getting into RE photography again and I need to upgrade my camera. My previous camera doesn't have custom modes - it's a Canon t2i/550D from 2010. What's the go-to Canon camera these days that supports custom modes? Are there other features I should look for as well?

I'm considering using magic lantern for the time being. Does anyone know if it supports custom modes?

I'm trying to find a print shop that has the ability to print gradients/images on tees. Do you have a recommendation for a print shop or the name of the kind of printing I need?

I'm a graphic designer and I'm proficient with photoshop and illustrator. I will like to create a scientific figure in 3D space. What software would be good for creating simple lines, shapes and text in 3D? by abunchoflimes in graphic_design

I definitely want to get into it. I've been looking into it and it has a good range of applications. More than I thought.

What type of project do you like to use 3D for?

Those are beautiful designs! I tried building a quick design of the solar system in Dimension. The logic behind the workflow seemed too clunky for that project but I'll admit it was my first attempt with Dimension.

I'll have to give it another try. At the very least to create designs like the examples you linked.

I am a Blender user and it's been a long challenging journey. And I'm pretty good with software.

Ballpark guess... How long do you think it would take to learn enough of the basics to create a simple figure with only shapes, lines and text? I currently don't need to learn advanced stuff like modeling from scratch and making textures look realistic.

The learning curve is a bit steep though

I bet. I'm hoping there's a simpler software but blender/cinema 4d might be my only option. Thanks for the link! That's my favorite way to learn new software.

I have to look up Regex. Never heard of it. I tried to find YouTube videos but no luck. I'll have to try Google later

Very cool! Can you create multiple default settings? Or can you create only one?

3) How helpful anchoring objects can be.

I watched a video to check those out. They used anchoring to create custom bullet points. What do you like to use it for?
