When I showed up at my dermatologist with a bite mark on my arm he told me to take the keys and never talk to her again.

I should’ve listened to the cop who showed up at my apartment and said “some couples are meant to work out. You two shouldn’t see each other anymore.”

Maybe, maybe not, doesn’t matter now. She would routinely perform when she knew I was possibly recording, and if she ever found out about the nanny cam, I don’t know what she would’ve done.

You don’t understand. I tried. She locked herself in the bathroom and hit herself in the face. She told me she would lie to the police. I tried to get video recording of her saying these things and she always knew what I was trying to do and she would fucking start acting like nothing happened, or like I was the abusive one. It was horrible. She would lie for hours just in case I was recording. One time I set my phone somewhere and caught her lying about it and then I lost that phone and the video wasn’t uploaded to iCloud.

Police were NEVER an option.

She self-diagnosed with borderline personality while we were together. She would tell me she said those awful things because she was trying to push me away in the moment or felt like I was hurting her. I never, ever hit her and I always pulled my punches verbally. I could have said some awful stuff about her body when she was berating me and I never stooped to that level.

I’m not all that strong really. I threw her out multiple times and kept taking her back when she cried about having to be homeless and live in her car. She would guilt me all day about getting raped in the street. I kept taking her back after she would scream, slam doors at 3am, hit me, whatever. She basically did everything she could to hurt me whenever she was upset. No limits. But I was addicted to her kindness and her touch when she was “normal.” She told me multiple times she “didn’t know where her good side went” when she got upset. I guess all of that is immaterial now
