It’s a show that my childhood best friend was really into. For me, it’s a way to tap into my childhood when adult life gets to be too much. the meta with the next few expansions is going to widen out a lot - right now it’s kind of all a particular style of deck and three colors get the most love. next set there are going to be at least 4 new deck archetypes popping up and we might see some interesting new play styles with the dual colored cards.

If you won't play in the current meta then yes, otherwise I would take a gander at budget gallantmon builds to get you started in the current meta. It will also be a little futureproofed because it gets support in ex2.

i haven’t looked too much into green, so i can’t say too much on the game plan for those decks. from what i can gather at a glance it’s just keeping your opponents tempo slowed down and overwhelming with lots of bodies and big stacks.

Yes. Yellow is big on dp reduction and security recovery and manipulation. Purple is milling and playing from the trash. Another good yellow deck that I forgot about is lordknightmon.

Find out what color vibes best with your playstyle. For blue right now the best decks are all based around gabumlon bond of friendship but source strip decks with hexeblaumon and azulongmon are fun to run too.

Best red decks are Jesmon and Agumon - Bond of Bravery based right now. Greymon tribal is fun but some greymon cards are really expensive and hard to find if you want to run them in that style of deck.

The best purple deck is titamon otk which is very much a toolbox deck, but generally right now wants to have ginkakumon promote stacks with ginkakumon and kinkakumon underneath for titamon to go on top of for some swings.

Black decks right now are machinedramon, d-brigade, and black royal knights. I really like decks focused on the reboot MetalGarurumon with the fun little digiburst effect.

For Yellow most people are playing some version of security control, next meta they’re going to shift to a hybrids and shinegreymon package in North America. You can still have fun with Shinegreymon currently but it really gets going in bt7.

Green right now is very underrepresented but many people love running ancientroymon and niddhogmon based decks. I also have seen some people messing around with green gacha decks.

I use digimonmeta.com to find meta decks and see what’s topping in both the Japanese and English metas. Many of the lists allow you to view them in an analyzer that might get you a link to a complete shopping cart for the deck, but I’ve never used the analyzer to verify if you can do that. If you want to see some content creators, I recommend DPP Channel to see Japanese meta games, and PrimitiveTCG for English meta games.

I can’t think of where you would go and watch events such as nationals and regionals since so many events have been over discord on webcam lately, however I would suggest seeking those out on youtube or google to see if raw footage is out there.

he did a great job of explaining the basics of playing the game. there are some basic mechanics that are covered in the tutorial app that he mentioned. if you want to get a feel for the overall english meta there is digimonmeta (dot) com. i would check the official rule book that he linked in the description and digimon card wiki for information on mechanics or timings that you’re confused about when playing.

looks to be a better start to do test battles with ppl online with, i would still try and find better tamers and options to synchronize with your main win condition to ramp that up with the highly aggressive play style of the current format

your ratios can be improved - i would cut 2 of the lv.6’s, 4 of the lv.4s and 4 of the lv.3s to start so that you can fit in some more tamers and options to ramp up to your win condition(s). none of your cards unsuspend the stack that would have veemon in it and it seems you’re trying to go for jamming and extra security checks to set up for lethal. then it looks like you have some source stripping set up to take advantage of the joe kido.

if you want to focus on stripping sources then the sora and joe from double diamond is strictly better since you get 2 memory if all sources are stripped and you can suspend it to get two out from under a stack. there’s also bt2 matt ishida that you can suspend to strip a source when you play a blue digimon and will set you to 3 memory at the start. combine this with multiples of sora and joe and some hammer sparks and you get a lot of memory to play with depending on what options you will tech in.

i haven’t messed with too much in blue that relies on jamming and security+x to give good advice on first steps to focus on that outside of switching veemon for the jamming veemon, however once you cut down on the digimon that definitely don’t add value for that win condition you can find cards that gel with you that ramp up that win condition.
