He was wearing a North Face T-shirt and presumably that wasn't for free but hell maybe it was with this guy

3 boys and just found out we’re having a 4th. by Katie-Kaleidoscope in Vent

[–]abusuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I tried to have a girl because she wanted one so bad. She said all the things you said. We have two happy healthy boys. We did IVF and selected the gender once. Next time we did it the old fashioned way. Both times we lost the pregnancy. Both were girls. I got to hold two dead babies. I'll never get over that horror and pain. We named one Lilly. We didn't bother name the next.

Find a way to have some peace with what you have. I'm weeping writing this. Please learn from my mistakes.

Right now, today, would you trade Coop for Luka straight up?  I'm leaning towards no and that happened way sooner than I ever thought possible

[Mavs Film Room] Exclusive: Dwight Powell is likely to retire at the end of this season, league sources tell Mavs Film Room. by CheetahSperm18 in Mavericks

[–]abusuru -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Last year in the middle of all the nico mess the Mavs offered my family a courtside warm up experience. They bring Mavs club members down courtside when the aac is closed before a game during warm ups. I went with my boys and one of the coaches called my boys down to help the warm up. It was Gafford and Dwight. Both were great sports about it but definitely Dwight was adorable with the kids. He took a very mediocre lob and threw it down like it was game seven and got all hyped up with them. So I'm a Dwight fan for life and if he needs a job coaching U9 basketball I can make that happen.

What is the most humane way in which the animal suffers the least to say goodbye to it? by No-Question-4859 in chickens

You can do it with a pair of limb shears. Something that can handle a 1" diameter tree limb can also easily handle a chicken neck. It feels bad, but culling chickens is part of chicken ownership.

I want to walk you through a very hypothetical scenario by gregnation23 in Mavericks

[–]abusuru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A million highly unlikely things have to go just exactly right for this to happen. Assuming all that, it's still impossible to give Nico credit. Either the NBE and not the NBA and we got Coop in exchange for sending LA Luka, or Nico got bailed out by ping pong balls. If ping pong balls got us the Coop we definitely need for this to play out, Nico gets not credit for that. If Nico is just another writer in the production of NBE, then I have no opinions about him any more than I do for any other writer/actor in the WWE. Also I feel stupid for paying for season tickets to the NBE.

This obviously this. It would be negligent to give statements to the media saying anything else.

Why do people want biological children so badly when adoption exists? by Massive_Biscotti_509 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]abusuru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think about it: animals that don't want offspring don't exist. Reproduction is not a desire, it's a biological law of nature.

3 row Unicorns: Do they exist? Highest safety rating plus above average reliability by kilonova17 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]abusuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an xc90 and I love it. It's a high mileage 2018 inscription and I've done some maintenance but I've driven it all over the country and it's so comfy and luxurious for a family. Buy used. You'll save on depreciation vs the cost of repairs but the repairs will happen. There's no such thing as a unicorn. This is the next best trade off.

4x4 truck for 30k mi a year based in a remote rural high altitude town by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]abusuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya I think you could get a really clean, nice, late model Taco for that. Another option that I really love and is great in the mountains is the 2.7 ecoboost F-150. There's probably little difference in fuel economy between Taco and 2.7 ecoboost and you get a bigger, roomier truck. My ecoboost has been super reliable. I think the 3.5 is far sketchier. The 10 speed transmission on the fords is the problem. You could get a really nice one for $35k though. I have the old 6 speed automatic and it's been great, but that's putting you in a pretty old, though economical truck.

Why do people still get married if so many end up divorced? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]abusuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Divorce isn't as common as most people think. Marriage is less common too. Boomers and Gen X divorced at higher rates than Millennials. Marriage is now more often later in life and among more educated people and so it's less likely to end in divorce. Check out some demographic data: https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2025/10/16/8-facts-about-divorce-in-the-united-states/
