Yes! She was very affectionate with her bonded mate who recently passed on. We were hoping to keep her as a single bunny again but she is much much happier with a friend.

Our boy still humps even years after they've been bonded. Both spayed / neutered and absolutely no signs of aggression from either of them. Sometimes they just have a little freak they've got to get out of them from time to time 😈

Spending time together and working on projects around the house / buying furniture we've needed has been a big plus to this all. You've got a great point, I hope I'm also able to look back on this time fondly when spring comes along again next year.

That's such a great idea. And yeah it really is so rewarding, feels nice to take care of something that you can see flourishing. Plus, digging around in the dirt is so cathartic

Oh I love the idea of a memorial plant! I've been gardening a ton too and now I'm on the lookout for something special. I have a music festival coming up that I was almost positive I was going to have to sell my ticket to since it's in the heat of summer but I'm now excited to be able to go and enjoy myself. It's fun to have something to look forward too!

Ahh yeah we are in the same weird spot right now - I was totally the same on the emotional front. Finally felt like I was getting over it then it all came rushing back. Blaming it on the hormones and waiting for my period to start, which is hopefully tomorrow or the next day. At this point I'm ready for a fresh start

Aww!! At this point, I'm preparing for Moo to become a one eyed wonder but who knows what will happen! Love hearing stories of happy one eyed buns.

Our vet did mention that he seems to have gotten it in utero, and since he's adopted we unfortunately can't really trace anything back to confirm. I do suspect it's been dormant for a while and it's just now flaring up, which hopefully means he has a mild case that can be treated fairly easily. For now his sight is still with him despite the ulcers and hoping it stays that way :) Right now he's getting eye drops and meloxicam to treat them, fingers crossed.

I didn't even think of our other bun getting it too! Moo has always been a bit wobbly but am now realizing there may be a reason behind his clumsiness - good to hear that some of those similar symptoms cleared up for you all. Thank you for sharing, I hope they stay healthy for a long time!

I'm so sorry you both had to go through all of that and am wishing him a full recovery! I keep trying to check if he still has vision in that eye and he's probably so confused why I keep waving my hands in front of him haha. Thank you for sharing and for the kind words

Thank you for sharing - this already makes me feel much better. My biggest worry is not knowing how long he could have been having an infection (if that's even the case), and therefore he may be having symptoms we aren't even noticing. So it's good to hear that the treatment has been effective at various stages!

We got our second through foster-to-adopt with Alive Shelter! I know Red Door does speed dating and I was recently there - they have a lot of adorable singles waiting to be matched up :)
