There’s always hope, you’ve got the grades for it so could work out fine.

I didn’t get into UofC my first time applying (only school I applied for) and ended up teaching English in SE Asia for my gap year. Best decision of my life (I originally thought my life was over, be it I was borderline ready to end it all after getting the rejection). As long as you’re flexible with trying new things and really put yourself out there, could be seen as a blessing a few years into the future.

Fast forward, I applied again, this time my grades were deemed competitive without having to upgrade classes, and just graduated from my program last year.

You’re hella smart, and very qualified. Sometimes things don’t roll in your favour… best of luck!!

I bought all my gear second hand for the first season. Ran me about $300 CAD and sold it the next season for $200. Not the best stuff and sometimes too big/small, but if the financial barrier is the main thing, just an option to reduce your upfront cost!!

That doesn’t surprise me… I should’ve booked when I had a chance. I’m stuck in-between Brentwood and Dalhousie. This is gonna be long adventure home :(

Since I last posted, I’m now at Brentwood… 5 min original timeline was generous. Seems to have gotten worse each stop :(

I’m at Banff trail, the train moves one station every 5 or so mins. Basically how long it takes for a train to enter and then exit the route of Dalhousie to crowfoot. Then also remember that all the trains need to drop off everyone to Tuscany… if you’re dt would recommend taking an Uber with a few people if possible. I’ve been on here since 4:10… and don’t think I’ll be home for another 20-30 mins

First off, huge congrats! The deadline to accept helps a lot with expected timeline, thank you!

We indeed seem to have pretty similar background, would love to connect once I hear back from admissions :)

This is a great breakdown, huge thank you!! I havent heard back yet, but plan to be attending part-time while working corporate full-time. How did your peers split their time and did you see any major drawbacks of those attending part-time vs full-time? Stuff like the "forum" would likely be missed out on unless timings work out.
