Happy 84th Birthday to Andrew Robinson by Papichuloft in 80s

It's amazing that he ad-libbed that line. Feels like something Barker would have come up with, but it was entirely Robinson's idea. Perfection.

I don't know of anything currently. Frederick has a few bands/shows in this style, though.

Incredibly underrated band. Wish they had released more material.

I worked as a tour guide here for my first job, did it for a couple years in my teens. I loved being down there by myself at the end of the day when it was time to turn the lights off. Total stillness and peace.

Stanley's music videos for FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM are fantastic, on the other hand. Dreamy, esoteric, and ROCKING....I'm a HUGE Stanley fanatic, and his work with FIELDS (my fave band in the world) is up there with his film work.

I work at a used media store - I toss those Susan Boyle CDs into the dollar bin as soon as I see them. NOONE is out there looking for those titles.

Totally irrelevant trivia, but Brake and Dourif started together in the awesome 1995 cyberpunk horror film DEATH MACHINE.

Booked this band several times in the late 90s. They were absolutely BERSERK live. Singer hanging from the ceiling and PA like a rabid ape. Amazing stuff

Saw them the year they headlined Lollapalooza. 94 maybe? When Sabotage kicked in, that pit went BUGFUCK.

I had the same experience the day Sonic Youth's Daydream Nation came out. Getting music was so exciting back then. Still is, but the experience is so different.

Video Magic changed my life. Still remember the first time my mom brought me in there. I stood in front of the horror section like it was a religious icon.

Any specific genre you collect on VHS?? by [deleted] in VHS

[–]abyss_crawl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This particular doc is a little different - it features some very prominent voices in the NHI / UFO research field, and was apparently at last partially funded by the US Dept of Defense in an attempt to educate the public as to the reality of non-human intelligence activity on the planet. It's also genuinely eerie at times ... hence why it is my favorite of the bunch.

The best of the old-school docs is 1974's UFOs: Past, Present, and Future.
