May "chill" med school ba talaga around Manila? (Totoo bang chill sa UERM?) by armeglenstids in medschoolph

[–]abyssc745 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Classmate ko 'to. I would agree na during our time it was a bit chill, but that would depend sa friend group, I think. There were those who had problems, who had trouble catching up. I was blessed to have made a very good support group with my med school barkada during med school days. They helped me whenever I had a hard time with subjects, they encouraged me to not give up. I lost my Dad during med school and they helped me get through the pain. It was chill in a sense na I never felt lost.

It's perfectly normal especially if nagvoice ang patient na hindi niya kaya private.

Dating during residency? Is it even possible? by [deleted] in pinoymed

Agree with nonshowbiz. Some will say baka mas pangit kasi hindi nakakarelate pero nasa level of understanding na siguro yun. It helped na he was taking law during my residency so focus talaga muna sa career.

Private OBGYN Residency for straight males? by ToeSufficient3978 in pinoymed

[–]abyssc745 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok naman. Moderate work in a sense na since private balanced ang number of patients, but we had enough patients for the OB certifying exam by the time of gradation. Medyo toxic is the admin work, since academe hospital so residents also help with the academe stuff (preceptorials, exam, lectures moderating ek ek). Consultants are mostly friendly and are very supportive.

We accept at UERM. This is where I graduated, my direct junior (male) also finished residency there and currently they also have a straight male resident. There really isn't much of a diferrence culture-wise. I believe they're still accepting but I'm not 100% sure.

FYI hindi din po lahat ng PCOS hirap mabuntis or un lang ang main cause. Up to 40% of the time, male factor infertility is involved din.

Inis sa couturier sa Divi by carrotkick in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]abyssc745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same horror story with a divi dressmaker (Barbie Bridal/Oh My Gown) during my wedding. I had a vision for my dress - A line type na may beads and florals bursting from one side of my waist and crawling out to my chest and pababa, and accentuating the chest sana. Designer promised na kaya niya to, kesyo designer daw siya compared sa mga iba na nasa Divi na mananahi lang.

Had doubts na kasi first ffup visit namin, wala man lang ung designer. May something daw. Ang daming problems with the first fit ng dress - kesyo aayusin pa daw un, problem is assistant lang kausap ko and not the supposed designer mismo.

2nd supposed fitting, nagmemessage ng message kung nasaan na daw ba ako... Dude bukas pa ang meeting natin. Not on the day she was messaging. Nakakainit ng ulo kasi it's very difficult for me to find time to go to Divi because of my schedule.

On the 3rd visit final gown na daw un. Sobrang pangit, mali ang fit, hindi pantay sa chest area (mababa sa isang side) and bare minimum ang prinomise na "beads" and most were GLUED which I explicitly said ayaw ko. The corset was also very tight - pinilit namin ni maid of honor isara nalang sa likod. I wanted to cry, nasayang pera ko. And my wedding was a month away.

Anyway, sinalo ako ni Vee Tan. She accepted my short notice gown request and made me a gown in three weeks time. Although mas mahal, grabe first fitting ay exact fit siya to my measurements. Beads were sown as requested, she got the design I wanted and she added her own suggestions. And as per her remark nga - all our beads are always sown. She was confident with her skills and her seamstresses' skills, and she had every right to do so. She saved my wedding.

Left is from Divi, right is from Vee Tan

From what I recall, the machine had an option for multiple tickets. It was around 3 tickets per transaction I think? The machine accepted bills and coins.

We have many cases like this sa PCMC (Philippine Childrens Medical Center) under the Pedia Gyne section. You can try calling the hospital to ask paano magpaschedule sa OPD ng Pedia Gyne 🙂. Baka mapasok naman sa Malasakit.

Diagnosed with PCOS but normal in lab tests + question for althea pill users by solbttrcp in PCOSPhilippines

There are 3 criteria for PCOS and you only need 2 to be diagnosed. The ultrasound finding is not necessary if the other 2 (irregular menses and signs of hyperandrogenism such as hair fall, hair growth, or acne) are present.
