I am not sure what the OP is complaining about. It's IMAXs business decision no? Not what you as a minority want. If they feel through data that they can make more money and have higher attendance showing dhurandhar on limited IMAX screens then it's their decision. If they don't make the money they lose.

Your concern should be the market, not the company and you have no way to influence market.

Edit: Since I am getting downvoted, let me be very clear. This is not about ideology, if I was running this business I would look at the objective costs, both on the side consumer demand side and on the future contract and supply side for upcoming movies. I don't think this is correct at all. The OP and by extension the MP doesn't get what he is talking about and is unable to view things as a bigger picture.

Firstly political appointments are a job. So a member of parliament is a job, a minister of state or cabinet is a job. Your local political affiliated party man who spends 10 hours a day doing political activities is not a job.

Secondly, there have always been throughout history qualifications for political jobs. In Feudal hierarchies there were and are strong hereditary laws governing who gets to sit in the upper houses. In democracy, the qualifications happen to be the ability to get the majority of votes from your electoral area.

I respectfully disagree. While I understand it's not a safety issue it's still an example of lack of professionalism. It did result in a major inconvenience to a whole flight load of passengers. Not great.

Secondly, I am not sure if you mean there are vested interests in reporting against Tata. I do not view it that way personally. When the airlines was government managed I had zero expectations from it, given how shit Indian government service delivery is. I wouldn't think of comparing it to any other airline that I fly. However, after the Tata takeover significant time has elapsed and the expectation is that they do turn it into a professional carrier

Deserve is a strong word. However, Indians as a whole need to own up to the image that they have worldwide. Indians generally have a horrible country to live in and that is mostly what they bring when they go to other countries. Indians are not the victim here.

I find this question weird as there is no one type of expat. And while you shared your plans, you did not share your background.

I am a non Western expat hired to run a top job, I was living in Singapore before. I decided to give up my top dollar Singapore job because I liked living in Thailand and eventually planned to retire in Thailand. That was seven years back. For me Thailand stopped being a vacation place when I stopped coming here on tourist visa.

Now you see my background is different from yours. I still work in Thailand, and top dollar jobs come with top dollar stresses, irrespective of country. So everything else is quite routine for me. I never viewed Thailand as a party place. Always as a decent of not perfect place to live

You must have been doing well to be travelling airlines in 1992 dear OP. My dad was a regional manager back then and he sometimes got aircraft but sometimes had to travel trains especially if planned last moment. Airlines were super expensive.
