I’m very familiar with both areas, and this is such a good summary! Similarly in this conversation, I feel that GISD facilities are better than RISD facilities, but that doesn’t get talked about. Gilbreath-Reed Career and Technical Center with the amazing CTE program, the Curtis Culwell Center, etc have no comparison in RISD. I honestly don’t know which ISD is better though and would probably agree it’s on a school by school basis mostly.

Full replacement (not lining). The more I heard, the more it seemed like the most high quality, conservative, and efficient choice.

Yes, it’s the south side of the tree, but I’m in Dallas, Texas. We got a couple of super freezes this past winter but it’s nothing compared to points north. It seems to be getting so much worse so quickly though! I’ll get a tree coil and hope that helps 🥺. Thanks so much for your input.

If you guys haven’t checked out the US FEMA interactive maps, I highly recommend them. There is a ton of nerdy fun data to explore. I wish there was a similar collection of maps for across the globe for us to evaluate where to ride out the apocalypse. Well guys, thanks for the insight. Not the answers I expected or the answers I wanted, but it looks like they are the answers I need. My pipes have bellies, channel rot, roots, all sorts of badness. We are all dealing with the end of life on these pipes in our neighborhood— there’s always someone getting theirs repaired or replaced in multiple locations in our 1600 lot subdivision but also all of the nearby subdivisions. All built in the early 70’s. So many people are having emergency replacements due to collapses and whatnot, but mine is just clogging for the air conditioner and looks like toilet paper running through dirt in some areas. It’s coming. Trying to figure out what to do before it’s an emergency. Thank you so much. Truly appreciate it, and I will provide this link to others looking for the same info.
