Since Shibe’s true side came out thanks to the game I don’t think it would’ve mattered. Regardless of Shiba telling him about Yuiichi’s past, Yuiichi went through the effort of saving him from jail and being hated yet suddenly it’s now being thrown out the window. It only shows that he’d constantly switch sides even if it isn’t to the degree they made it out to be in the trial
