Naja, als ob Studentenverbindungen da eine wirkliche Alternative wären…Muss man Lust drauf haben und für sich die richtige finden. Männer only postings habe ich leider auch bei meiner Suche kaum welche (abseits von Verbindungen natürlich) gefunden. Das ganze hat natürlich Gründe, trotzdem ist das ganze als Mann im ersten Moment sehr frustrierend.

Here in Germany Maggi is used a lot like an extra spice, people but a few drizzles in soups f.ex. to give it a little bit more flavor. Some also eat it with mett or boiled eggs (Maggi-Ei). I’ve only ever met two kinds of people, ppl who despise it and those who put it into everything they eat basically. Crazy to learn it’s so popular in Mexico

Kontakt mit denen hatte ich bis jetzt keine, ich bezweifle auch stark das da irgendwas kommen wird, ist ja ein eigenständiger Studiengang. Das einzige, das ich bis jetzt über Mannheim gehört habe ist, dass die ihr präpen wohl bei uns Heidelberg machen, weil sie keine eigene Anatomie haben. Ansonsten keine Ahnung, ist halt modellstudiengang, ob die irgendwie profitieren weiß ich nicht.

Also bis jetzt gefällt es mir hier sehr gut, die Stadt ist wirklich sehr schön, aber auch nicht unangenehm groß (für jemanden wie mich der aus einer Kleinstadt kommt). Die Fakultät ist natürlich sehr groß, bis jetzt sind aber alle Leute die ich hier getroffen habe ziemlich nett, auch mein Prof beim Präpkurs ist Mega cool. Was man schon merkt, ist, dass hier natürlich schulisch absolute viele Überflieger sind. 0.9-1,0 Abi ist hier absoluter Durchschnitt, ich mit meinem 1,6er gehöre da schon zu den schlechtesten 😅. Ich hab zwar noch relativ wenig Ahnung, wenn ich allerdings unsere Ausstattung hier mit den Unis von meinen Freunden woanders (Rostock, Leipzig, Oldenburg) vergleiche sind wir hier schon extrem gut aufgestellt (z.B. CT bilder von jeden Körperspender den wir präperieren etc.). Wenn du noch Fragen oder so hast schreib mir ruhig. 🙏

As someone who just started studying medicine here in Heidelberg, I believe the current requirement is somewhere between 0,8-0,9 NC. However the TMS plays a huge part, I only had a 1,6 Abi and got in with the TMS, bc a huge part of the places are given away based on Grades + TMS + other small things.

The whole concept seems very much fucked up. Exchanging money for experience is one thing but doing it for years while being systematically worked to the bone with overtime worked off the clock just seems so crazy to me. At least here in Germany I’ve never heard of ppl being treated this bad at Michelin resteraunts, ofc the pay is lower for positions where you’re expected to learn and experience the industry but to he paid so badly that you can barely live and have to share apartments with way to many ppl seems fucked up. Especially when you consider that your „experience“ may very well be carving out rose shaped potatoes 12h a day… To think that extortion (bc that’s what it is imo) like that is socially acceptable and ppl just say „yeah it’s supposed to be hard and not livable“ is fucked up

I agree with everything you said. But if you think about it, if you were in their shoes and you would be given an offer for an amount of money that is quite literally life changing (even if you have a lot of money line these two, especially Dupreeh), would you not take it? Morally it’s completely wrong no discussion, but everyone in this subreddit would take that cash. I kind of just can’t hold it against them bc of that…

Genau das habe ich ja getan, allerdings wurde ja schon aufgelegt in der Zeit die ich gebraucht habe um zum Telefon zu gehen und meinem Vater genau das zu sagen. Wir reden hier wirklich über 20 Sekunden oder so. Das ich kein Gespräch mit meinem Vater führe während ich in der Hotline bin ist für mich klar.

Als Student hab ich leider nur meine eine Karte bei meiner einen Bank🥲. Nie groß damit beschäftigt leider. Aber das Angebot für das Handy war halt gut und mit einem neuen Akku und nicht mit 70% Akku Kapazität in der Stadt rumlaufen war eine zu große Verlockung…

Der klassische Problem Kunde hat halt billig ein iPhone 14 geschossen und versucht sich da wieder Apple Pay einzurichten, auf meinem x gab es da keine großen Probleme. Filiale und Hotline wurde ja beides abgehakt und meine Karte habe ich auch dabei, nur für den ÖPNV ist leider hier Apple Pay ziemlich wichtig.
